Groups opposing guidelines that require health insurers to cover contraception costs rallied at the New Jersey Statehouse and around the country Friday.

The guidelines from the Obama administration will go into effect in August. They require insurers to cover all Food and Drug Administration-approved contraceptive methods and sterilization procedures. They don't require coverage for abortion-inducing drugs.

Opponents say that's a violation of religious freedom, despite promised exemptions and accommodations for religious institutions.

Organizers say the Nationwide Rally for Religious Freedom is being held in more than 150 cities across the country.
