Governor Christie Blasts Obamacare Again [VIDEO/AUDIO/POLL]
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who’s considered a Republican frontrunner for President in 2016, is blasting the Affordable Care Act, known as Obamacare.
During Townsquare Media’s ‘Ask the Governor‘ program on Monday night, Christie said the problems with the rollout of Obamacare have been horrible.
“This is just an awful law that made no sense,” he said, “and that’s why I didn’t get into a state exchange. So, no I have absolutely no regrets, in fact I’m really glad the train wreck is not mine.”
Christie pointed out people were promised they could keep their insurance under Obamacare, but in many cases that hasn’t been the case, and now they’re being told the problems are being fixed, but they’re not.
“Which means your premiums are going to skyrocket if you want this quote unquote same policy back- except it’s not the same, cause it’s layered on with more Obamacare requirements,” he explained.
The bottom line, stressed the governor, is this was a disaster, and it was a train wreck that anybody, who has managed anything ever, in their lives, could have seen coming.
“This entire Obamacare program is a failure – it’s a failure and people are seeing it starkly and clearly right now and the president is scrambling,” he said. “He should have just told everybody the truth from the beginning, but you know what, if he had, they wouldn’t have passed it – not even Democrats would have passed this.”
