Garden State Parkway toll booth robbed at gunpoint

EAST ORANGE (AP) — State Police are seeking a motorist who robbed a toll collector at gunpoint on the Garden State Parkway.

The heist occurred Tuesday around 5:40 p.m. in East Orange.

State Police spokesman Sgt. Gregory Williams tells NJ.com a man wearing a ski mask drove up to the toll plaza in a white car in the northbound lanes and ordered the toll collector to place cash in a pillow case.

Williams did not know how much cash the man drove off with.
