Fire Destroys Perth Amboy Church

Parishioners are vowing to rebuild after fire destroyed a church in northern New Jersey that serves the Peruvian community.

Flames swept through Saints Cyril & Methodius National Catholic Church in Perth Amboy early Monday.

The church housed a replica of the Lord of Miracles, which is considered sacred in Peru.

The Rev. Mariusz Zochowksi tells The Home News Tribune (http://mycj.co/1dHqXkS ) it would be greatly appreciated if anyone has the desire to help rebuild the church.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
