A Jersey City man was arrested for allegedly impersonating a lawyer.

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdees said Antwan Bolden, a.k.a. Yusef Hassan, 47, on at least two occasions tried to do legal work for two customers from a Paterson office he operated between 2011 and 2013.

In one case, Bolden tried to negotiate a personal injury claim settlement with an insurance company on behalf of a "client," Valdees said. In another case, Bolden tried to stop a mortgage foreclosure with a bank, according to Valdees.

Bolden has never been licensed practicing attorney in New Jersey and faces 3-to-5 years in prison if convicted.
