Fair Lawn Police Officer DonaldMacIsaac "shopped" at the Fair Lawn volunteer fire squad, police said, where he is accused of taking over $800 worth of pillowcases, gloves, blankets and sanitary wipes according to NJ.com.

Police Chief Glen Cauwels told the newspaper that MacIsaac took the items on 15-different occasions and that he has been suspended without pay. He was charged with a single count of third degree theft.

"The Fair Lawn Police Department is full of great police officers, what occurred in this case is not a reflection of how our department operates," Cauwels told NJ.com. "Police misconduct will not be tolerated."
