Egg Harbor Township Mom Charged With Setting Fire To Home While Daughter Inside

An Egg Harbor Township mother has been charged with setting fire to her home while her daughter was inside.

Police in a statement on their Facebook page say Amy Ochetto, 43, used a flammable liquid to set fire to the home on Windwood Drive, in the Cardiff section of the Township around 12:24 a.m. The unidentified daughter and an adult male, 41-year-old Yeser Bekete of Galloway were able to escape the home unharmed.

Ochetto is charged with aggravated arson, 2 counts of aggravated assault, and endangering the welfare of a child. Bail was set at $100,000 cash. Ochetto is currently at the Atlantic County Justice Facility.

A motive has not been established for the fire.
