BROOKLAWN — A man suspected of stealing potted plants led police on a high speed pursuit early Sunday morning and police are asking for the public's help finding him.

According to police a vehicle was seen in the parking lot of Verchio's Produce at a time that it was closed. When an officer tried to talk to the driver of the vehicle the car fled the scene traveling south on Route 130.

With speeds reaching almost 100 MPH the pursuit was called off for the safety of the public.

Police later identified the suspect as Sean Pavlichko, 31, of Westville. He has been charged with second-degree theft, a disorderly persons offense.

The Brooklawn Police Department is asking anyone with information about Pavlichko's whereabouts to call 856-456--0750 ext. 174. Information can also be submitted anonymously by email at tips@brooklawnpolice.com or 856-456-0750 ext. 180.
