Did NJ ball park’s fireworks spark brush fire?
LAKEWOOD — A Friday night brush fire likely was sparked by fireworks after the BlueClaws game at FirstEnergy Park.
The fire broke out in a wooded area behind the scoreboard at the intersection of Cedar Bridge Avenue and New Hampshire Avenue, according to the Asbury Park Press.
Neither Lakewood police nor the BlueClaws would comment Saturday on the fire.
The BlueClaws, a single A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, beat the Delmarva Shorebirds 2-1 on Friday night before a crowd of over 6,500 on Harry Potter Night.
