Rookie Adam Henrique scored on a backhander in the fourth round of the shootout to give the New Jersey Devils a 5-4 victory over the Ottawa Senators on Thursday night.

Zach Parise and Patrik Elias also scored in the shootout for the Devils, who trailed 3-0 with about 5 minutes left in the second period before scoring four unanswered goals.

Ottawa's Jesse Winchester scored a short-handed goal to tie it with just 5 seconds remaining in regulation. The goal came after the Senators pulled goalie Alex Auld with just 21 seconds to go.

Jason Spezza and Daniel Alfredsson scored in the shootout for the Senators, but Devils goalie Johan Hedberg, who replaced Martin Brodeur to start the second period, stopped David Rundblad to earn the win.
