Daughter Charged In Murder Of Her Mother In Lakewood

A 67-year-old Lakewood woman's death is being ruled a homicide and her adult daughter is the primary suspect. Ocean County Prosecutor Marlene Lynch Ford says 45-year-old Lisa Marie Foster is being charged in the death of her mother Claudette whose lifeless body was found inside her Leisure Village home late Thursday morning.

Members of the Prosecutor's Office, The Ocean County Sheriff's Criminalistics Unit and Lakewood Township Police launched an investigation this morning after local police reportedly received a call from the victim's daughter. Crime Scene tape cordoned off several units on Chatum Court as investigators combed the home for evidence and went door to door seeking information from neighbors. The Sheriff's Department also towed the daughter's vehicle.

Lisa Marie Foster was charged with Homicide Thursday evening and placed in the Ocean County Jail. Superior Court Judge Stephanie M. Wauters set her bail at $300,000 bail, no 10 percent option.
