As he remains weakened from Bridgegate, Christie is being undermined by fellow Republicans, some also potentially seeking the presidency.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), a Tea Party favorite, has reportedly been privately telling donors that Christie is the Rudy Giuliani of this cycle, which he regards as an attractive candidate to start, but a fast fader with no chance of success.

Cruz is not alone in his skepticism about Christie.

The in-fighting among the GOP candidates remains the biggest fear of party officials. They are wary of another brutal primary that erodes the support of the candidates and hands the White House to Democrats...again.
