Crossing guard struck, killed by pickup truck in Trenton

Authorities and witnesses say a crossing guard has been struck and killed by a pickup truck in New Jersey's capital city.

Witnesses said that the male crossing guard was hit and killed around 3:15 p.m. Monday on Route 129 in Trenton at Lalor street.

A red pickup truck remained at the scene and the small red Stop sign held by the guard was visible under the car.

Police were on the scene investigating.
