Newark ICE Field Director John Tsoukaris says 107 of the 123  have criminal records, for offenses ranging  from driving under the influence, to sex offenses to kidnapping.

He says many of those taken into custody will be held without bail, because they face swift deportation proceedings, while others will go before a Judge to plead their case.

The 6 day sweep took place all over Jersey. Twenty one people were arrested in Essex County, sixteen were caught in Hudson, County, and 13 arrests were made in Middlesex County.
