The owner of a number of restaurants around the country warned customers about an ongoing hack into the registers of many of their locations, including several in New Jersey.

Landry's said that "criminal attackers were able to install a program on payment card processing devices at certain of our restaurants, food and beverage outlets, spas, entertainment destinations, and managed properties," that looked for magnetic strips on cards as the data was being transmitted between May, 2014 and December, 2015.

The company said if you used a card at any of their affected locations that you should check your statements for possible fraud and report it to your card issuer.

Landry's affected locations in New Jersey are:

        • Big Fish Bistro, Princeton
        • Golden Nugget, Atlantic City parking, banquets, parking and the spa and salon
        • McCormick & Schmick's in Bridgewater and Cherry Hill
        • Oceanaire Seafood Room, Hackensack
        • Rainforest Cafe, Atlantic City
        • Vic & Anthony's in the Golden Nugget Atlantic City
