The man was walking his dog when he was attacked Sunday. He sustained a bite to his calf and was treated for rabies as a precaution.

Police say they believe that same coyote attacked the tires of a police car before it was captured on Monday night.

Meanwhile, traps have been set after officers discovered dens near the Norwood Public School and behind a home.

Police have urged parents to keep their children and small pets inside.

The state veterinarian reminds everyone to vaccinate their pets and to avoid contact with stray and wild animals.

This was the second coyote attack in Bergen County this month.
