LAKEWOOD — Police say a woman made a false report about an armed robbery — prompting offers to confront the people she accused with guns drawn before they sorted things out.

Gianna Bozza, 19, of Jackson told Lakewood Police around 4 p.m. she was following another driver after he had waved a handgun at her, police said. Police met up with her on Lois Lane and stopped the vehicle she was following.

Video posted by the Lakewood Scoop showed two people getting out of a car and being surrounded by police as each walked backward toward police. Police then approached the car with guns drawn, but said they found no weapons.

Following their investigation, police arrested Bozza and charged her with causing a public affair. Larry A. Crippa, 19, of Jackson was arrested on an outstanding warrant. He posted bail and was released.
