A federal grand jury in New Jersey Wednesday charged that Menendez took gifts from a friend in exchange for political favors.

The state Democratic Committee publicized the Twitter hashtag #IStandWithBob and encouraged people to follow the account @StandWithBob in a news release.

U.S. Sen. Cory Booker says Menendez has never wavered in his commitment to residents.

U.S. Rep. Albio Sires says Menendez is "not going anywhere."

Menendez has said he did nothing wrong and dismissed the notion of stepping down.
