Christie Campaigns, Draws Criticisms in Tennessee [AUDIO]
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ) managed to create waves as he campaigned over the weekend in Tennessee.
Christie made the rounds in the Volunteer State, delivering the keynote address at the Statesmen Dinner on Friday, which is the state's largest annual GOP gathering.
He then attended events for Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN) and Gov. Bill Haslam (R-TN). The governor even crashed a bachelorette party.
The reactions were mixed with one state lawmaker calling Christie a "questionable political figure." The president of the Nashville tea party said the decision to have Christie deliver the keynote speech was "extremely unfortunate."
Christie's greatest reception may have been when he stopped to congratulate a bride-to-be while he was out to dinner, even posing for pictures with the bachelorette party.
