Like you, Gov. Chris Christie made an early morning trip into Manhattan on Monday. Unlike you, he got to avoid the traffic back to New Jersey in a helicopter.
His helicopter takeoff caught on video, the Chirstie campaign told NorthJersey.com
the governor had business to tend to and needed a quick trip to Trenton following interviews on the Fox News Channel and CNN morning  programs. The campaign will reimburse the state for use of the State Police helicopter.

“He had planned to do that because of the short time between his interviews and the time  he had to be in Trenton,” Christie spokesperson Samantha Smith told NorthJersey.com. The heavy traffic out of the Lincoln Tunnel on Monday did not play a role in deciding to fly out, she said.Christie and political groups were billed more than $20,000 for 12 flights in 2014 categorized as personal or political. The analysis finds that the flights cost taxpayers more than $10,000.
