Christie made the rounds of the Sunday news shows and said Romney would do very well in the first debate against President Obama.

During an appearance Monday at a health center in, Christie said Romney's experience in the Republican primary will help him. He says Romney responded when challenged by candidates Newt Gingrich and Rick Perry and produced an outstanding debate performance.

Christie was an early supporter of Romney and was often mentioned as a potential running mate. The first-term governor has been eyed as a possible 2016 presidential contender and repeated Monday that he will decide whether to run for a second term after the presidential election.
