In a story that is almost certainly untrue, it is being reported that a Chinese man bought two “puppies” on a trip to Viet Nam. After two years, he noticed that the puppies were behaving strangely and, after seeing a wildlife PSA, realized his “puppies” were actually bears.

According to Wikipedia, Asian Black Bears become independent at 24-36 months, so I’m guessing that those “puppies” had to be rather large by the time their owner realized his mistake; plus, wouldn’t they look rather bear-like by then? The report says they were about 50kg., which is big for a dog, but not unheard of.
