An article from a website called HopesAndFears.com tackles an issue we talked about last week. Can you keep your own body parts after a medical procedure? Doctors weigh in on the subject, with the best reason for not giving them back being: they have to send it to pathology to make sure they got the right body part.

The pathology lab records what the part is to make sure the surgeon removed what he/she said he removed. But the main point is most people don’t ask for them.
