The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office says one of the defendants worked for a records storage company that handled mortgage documents.

The employee, Kyle Davis of Paterson, allegedly sold personal information taken from the documents to a coconspirator, who applied for credit cards with various stores and added other coconspirators as authorized buyers. Authorities say 70 people were victimized and losses totaled more than $150,000.

The stores included Macy's, Bloomingdale's, Victoria's Secret, Sears and others.

The suspects were arrested Thursday ad face charges of trafficking in personal information, theft by deception and conspiracy. Each was being held on $300,000 bail. It wasn't known if Davis had retained an attorney.
