The tale of a Belmar waitress who got stiffed on a $112.03 bill has been making the rounds these past few days. But 20-year-old Jess Jones, working at D'Jais Bar & Grill for the summer, isn't the only one to infamously get an obnoxious "tip" instead of a tip."

Here's some of their stories:

Shore is Disappointing: Let's start with Jones herself. Jones tells Laurie Cataldo of our sister station, 94.3 The Point, that on Aug. 17, a family of eight was seated in her section. The bill came to $112.03. A modest 15 percent tip would have gotten her a little under $17. Instead, Jones walked away with only the $2.50 an hour she makes before gratuities.

Instead, the family left on the tip line: “LOL. 1 hour for food.”

Jones shared the news out on Facebook, though her post has since come down. She told Cataldo the kitchen was slammed because Mondays are half-price nights (meaning that bill could have been $224, and the tip around $34 or better any other night), but the family was appraised of that and kept satisfied (or so she thought) with drinks.

"My experience with this table was cruel and unnecessary but sadly it’s not uncommon. With that said: Please be good to your waiters," Jones wrote on Facebook. "I know it’s annoying when things aren’t right. I know how aggravating it is to receive a hefty bill when all night you’ve been wondering why the table that came in after you was served before you. But waiters are mere messengers most of the time, and it’s wrong to shoot them, however bad the news.”

Cataldo's not as kind: "She’s being much more diplomatic than she needs to be. Plain and simple, if you stiff a waiter or waitress for something like this, you’re a douche."

No Money from 'Money:' Last year, Floyd "Money" Mayweather didn't share a single cent of the $32 Million he'd just earned in his fight with Manny Pacquiao after being served $25,000 worth of alcohol and chicken wings, TMZ reported at the time. That bill included $11,500 of Luc Belaire Rose champagne alone. And Mayweather got comped for the whole bill, according to the report.

On a Buffalo Wing and a Prayer: According to the Daily Dot, in 2013, Pastor Alois Bell crossed out the automatic 18 percent tip on an Applebee’s bill, replaced the amount with “zero” and added a note: “I give God 10% — why do you get 18?” The waitress later posted a thread on Reddit about it with the headline “My mistake sir, I’m sure Jesus will pay for my rent and groceries.” That didn't go over well with Applebee’s, which fired the waitress, setting off an Internet backlash.

Are we calling this one Tipgate? Bloomberg reports that when Hillary Clinton visited a Chipotle during her road trip to Iowa on Sunday, she didn't leave a tip on her $20 bill — which is apparently a thing people sometimes do at Chipotle. Rush Limabugh jumped on it: "But I would like to know if she left anything in the tip jar, because that would be an indication that she understands the average, ordinary, everyman that she seeks to represent."

Here's a tip — Don't lie: When server and former U.S. Marine Dayna Morales of the Gallop Asian Bistro in Bridgewater posted online about a family who she said refused to leave a tip because she was gay, it set off an Internet firestorm.

But the family whose bill she singled out came forward with its credit card statement — which included which included an $18.00 tip on the $93.55 tab. The couple denied leaving the message, "Sorry, I cannot tip because I do not agree with your lifestyle and the way you live your life."

Gallop looked into the matter, and Morales was let go from the restaurant soon after.
