EAST BRUNSWICK — A car went through the wall of a Route 18 hotel early Tuesday morning.

Lenibeth Estrada, 40, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, was trying to park a 2008 Dodge Nitro at the Days Inn around 12:30 a.m. but drove it completely through the wall of an unoccupied room on the first floor, police Lt. Sean Goggins said.

Estrada was not injured.

Goggins said the hotel, which shares a parking lot with Hooters, was not evacuated. An inspection deemed the building safe.

One of the hotel guests told ABC 7 Eyewitness News the impact felt like an earthquake.

Police said their investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed.
