Authorities investigate double shooting in Franklin, report says

Police are investigating an incident in which two men were shot Tuesday evening in Franklin Township, NJ Advance Media has reported.

Captain Jack Bennett, a spokesman for the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office told the publication that the double shooting took place at about 6:45 p.m. on a side street off Route 27.

The victims were both transported to a hospital. they names and conditions have not been released and no suspects have been named, although authorities tell NJ Advance Media that they believe the two men were targeted.

This Prosecutor's Office could not be reached for comment.
