Authorities Find Car of Lakewood Woman Found Dead

Authorities have recovered a missing vehicle that belonged to a woman who was found dead in her southern New Jersey home.

Ocean County prosecutors say police officers found the 61-year-old Lakewood woman Tuesday morning. They also discovered her 2013 grey four-door Honda Civic vehicle was missing.

The car was found around 5:30 p.m. in neighboring Howell Township by a Lakewood police officer who was on his way home. A man found with the car is being questioned, but no charges had been filed as of Tuesday night.

Authorities say the death was considered suspicious due to the missing vehicle and the condition of the woman's body. Her name has not been disclosed.

The woman's co-workers contacted police when she failed to show up for work.
