Twice a year in Roosevelt, we have the big trash pickup day. On this day you can get rid of all the big items you’ve been storing on the side of your house, your old furniture, and whatever else you can think of. We used to start the weekend off with a yard sale but people started to realize that if they waited long enough, our stuff would probably just end up out on the sidewalk for free.
Spring break is here. It's a time for college students to get away from their studies for the week, and enjoy beaches, music, and partying. Lately, college students are not the only people looking to get in on the fun - It seems older men are heading down to the resorts to party with spring breakers.
On my show last week I spoke about the idea of raising the minimum wage for tipped workers, which hasn’t been done in over two decades. Several callers pointed out that if people think you’re making more money, they will tip you less. This idea makes sense to me.
