Yesterday I paid a landscaper a pretty penny to blow all of my leaves to the curb for the usual second pick up of the season, only to find out they will not be picked up. My next door neighbor called and the official answer he got is...."the town is broke."

I saw this scene from the movie "Back To School" with Rodney Dangerfield and it kind of reminded me of what's going on in our country right now. The "Super Committee" the President appointed to fix the massive debt problem we have in this county pretty much just threw up their hands this week because they can't come to any agreement.

We tried to "discuss" the Occupy Wall Street protests yesterday on the air and it devolved pretty quickly into name calling and yelling. Normally my "guinea blood" has a low boiling point when it comes to this kind of stuff, but I tried really hard to keep focused on "discussing" the issue.

I'll have to give credit to a tv viewer commenting on the Occupy Wall St. crowd when he called them "The everybody gets a trophy crowd, all grown up". And he might be dead-on.

Today on the Dennis and Judi show we discussed the East Windsor girl (Torri Albrecht) allegedly suspended from Kreps Middle School for wearing a hoodie with the Confederate flag on it. The girls mother, Jane West got wind of the discussion and called the show.

I saw a sign on a telephone pole yesterday that advertised an adult roller hockey league, and I paused for a moment and considered writing down the number.  Then I put down the crack pipe that I was smoking and turned my attention back to driving.  Of course I wasn't smoking a crack pipe at the time.  You should never do that while you're driving, ever!

I guess I'll have to keep explaining this until I die, but I'll do it again here with pleasure.  The New Jersey Devils played the Philadelphia Flyers tonight in an NHL game in Philadelphia. It ended in a tie, but the Devils won in a shootout.  If you're a hockey fan, you know what that is. If you're not, then never mind.
