Governor Christie is happy about the New Jersey Supreme Court pension ruling. How 'bout you?

The verdict is in: state pension payments won't increase this fiscal year.

"This decision is an important victory not only for our taxpayers who simply cannot afford these unsustainably high costs, but for limited, constitutional government that recognizes the proper role of the executive and legislative branches of government,” Christie said in a statement.

Senate President Steve Sweeney, however, disagrees, saying the outcome will cause distrust in the government when people don't receive the money they were promised from the system.

Many listeners from both the public and private sector called in this morning to discuss this issue and share their disfavor for Christie, with some saying that the governor's support of this ruling represents one way he's failed the state. Others expressed distaste with the teacher's union and government workers rather than Christie, and said that he's being chastised for his boldness.
