One car of a freight train derailed Friday on a trestle over the Atlantic City Expressway, forcing the closure of two lanes of the busy road leading out of the gambling resort.

South Jersey Transportation Authority spokesman Kevin Rehmann says no one was hurt in the mishap, which occurred shortly after 9 a.m.
The rail car appeared to be carrying sand or some similar material.
The expressway has closed the center and right lanes westbound. But the left lane is still open. No word on how long it might take to right the derailed car.
