State police say an early morning crash on a northeastern Pennsylvania interstate has killed two New Jersey residents.

Police in Susquehanna County say a vehicle heading south on I-81 veered off the highway in Harford Township shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday.

Troopers said the vehicle went up a steep embankment and rolled over multiple times.

Police said 21-year-old Julius Ignacio and 20-year-old Richard Montano, both of Union, N.J., were thrown from the vehicle and killed.

State police indicated that three other men were in the vehicle, but listed no other injuries in their statement on the accident.
