Two Hackensack men were charged with aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child after a student at a local school reported that she had been sexually abused by two individuals, authorities said Thursday.

Edwin M. Zhinin-Zhinin, 31, and Eli M. Mancia-Herrera, 39, both face charges of sexual assault by contact and endangering the welfare of a child, authorities say. Zhinin-Zhinin also faces an aggravated sexual assault charge, according to Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal.

Authorities say the student, who has not been identified, told school officials about repeated alleged sexual abuse by two separate individuals in Hackensack. Mancia-Herrera's bail was set at at $150,000.00 with no 10 percent option, and he also remains in Bergen County Jail. Both men must surrender their passports and are prohibited from having any contact with the victim, according to police.

The prosecutor says the two men are are scheduled to make their first appearances in court on June 3, 2016 at 1:30 p.m.
