12-foot-deep sinkhole opens up on ramp to Route 287 in Riverdale

A large sinkhole has opened up on the ramp from Route 23 south to Route 287 South in Riverdale, police said.

The ramp will be closed until further notice, police said in a Facebook post Saturday. They warned to expect delays.

NJ.com quotes Lt. James MacIntosh saying the hole was more than 12 feet deep.
