Authorities say 11 people were displaced by a four-alarm fire overnight in Irvington in a building that spread to nearby houses.

Irvington Police said flames broke out around 1:30 a.m in the building that houses the Headquarters Sports Bar on Florence Avenue. Firefighters from several surrounding communities faced bitter cold temperatures and high winds that helped the fire spread to a neighboring apartment building.

The fire was declared under control around 4:20 a.m. but firefighters remained on the scene to monitor for potential flare-ups and to put out any hot spots.

ABC 7 reported that five businesses and five apartments were significantly affected by the fire and that the roof collapsed. At least two firefighters were injured including one for frostbite.
