Middlesex County Prosecutor Bruce Kaplan says 21-year-old Jayson Perry of Newark was apparently stabbed during the early Saturday fracas at the Mirage in Edison Township. Perry died a short time later at a hospital.

Kaplan says five other people were stabbed, including one man who was hospitalized, while another man suffered a superficial gunshot wound. Further details on their injuries were not disclosed.

Kaplan said about 500 tickets had been sold for the show, which had not started when the fights broke out just before 1 a.m.
