Fatal Rockaway crash: Driver pinned by overturned car

ROCKAWAY TOWNSHIP — One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Friday night.

The accident occurred on Mount Hope Avenue in front of a TD Bank branch just before 7 p.m.

Police said a car landed on its side, pinning the driver. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the police.

Police have not disclosed the name of the victim and said no charges have yet been filed.

Assisting in the investigation was the Morris County Sheriff’s Office, the Rockaway Township and Dover fire departments and Morris County Medical Examiner.
