Workers OK contract for 3 Atlantic City casinos amid strike
Workers in Atlantic City have approved a new contract with three casinos while a strike continues at the Trump Taj Mahal.
Local 54 of the Unite-HERE union says workers from the three Caesars Entertainment-owned casinos in Atlantic City voted Monday to ratify their new contract.
Workers at Harrah's, Bally's and Caesars reached a deal July 1. A vote on the contract reached with the Tropicana is scheduled for Thursday.
Terms of the contracts won't be released until then.
Both the Tropicana and the Taj Mahal are owned by billionaire Carl Icahn.
Picketers say they will protest outside Icahn's New York offices on Wednesday before marching to Trump Tower. Donald Trump opened the Taj Mahal but has had no involvement with the company since 2009.
The Taj Mahal has said the union seems "hell-bent" on trying to close the property.
