Wedding disaster in Camden County leaves guests stuck inside for hours
A wedding reception in Camden County faced an unexpected disaster when a power pole snapped, spilling live wires onto a wet parking lot, which prompted authorities to instruct guests to stay inside to avoid the risk of electrocution. Despite the dim lighting and lack of air conditioning, the celebration continued with music playing on through the chaos. No one could leave until safety was confirmed hours later. This incident serves as a reminder of the unpredictability of weddings, where a range of mishaps can occur from cake failures to more serious emergencies, creating memorable stories for guests and wedding professionals alike.
There are few events in life that come with as much anticipation as a wedding. Couples plan every detail meticulously, investing not just financially but emotionally, to ensure that their big day is perfect. However, the reality is that weddings often come with their share of unexpected incidents. From minor faux pas to major crises, wedding disasters can take many forms.
Consider the common mishaps guest often share. A cake collapsing from its pedestal can lead to squeals of shock and an impromptu cake fight. A DJ mistakenly playing the wrong songs can turn a desired romantic moment into a cringe-worthy playlist. Or how about the dreaded drunken relative who steals the spotlight with a ridiculously embarrassing speech? Each wedding has the potential for laughter, tears, and a great story.
But some stories hit a different note. Imagine guests at a wedding enjoying their evening when a medical emergency strikes, such as a guest fainting or experiencing a heart attack. The rush of concerned friends and family, alongside emergency responders, can turn a night of celebration into a race against time. Furthermore, wedding professionals like planners, caterers, or venue staff often have to think quickly to ensure the safety and comfort of everyone involved.
Then there’s the unfortunate incident of bridal parties getting trapped due to unforeseen circumstances – like the aforementioned electrocution risk. Guests are left waiting, pondering whether they will be eternally damned to the dance floor or if they will emerge from the venue unscathed.
It’s easy to look back and laugh at these moments, especially when they’re tied to such significant life events. Remembering how the unexpected can add a unique twist to a wedding story is part of what makes these events memorable. Each anecdote, whether humorous or startling, adds a layer to the experience of matrimony.
In light of these stories, it’s also worth reflecting on the importance of wedding insurance and contingency plans. Weddings may seem predictable, but they often come with unforeseen surprises. Whether it’s hiring reliable vendors, creating contingency plans for emergencies, or ensuring safety protocols are in place, being prepared can make all the difference in navigating potential disasters.
For those who have attended or participated in weddings, what is your story? Have you witnessed a wedding disaster, or perhaps experienced one yourself? Whether it was a minor error or a major catastrophe, all weddings have something unexpected that brings them to life. Share your experiences, and let’s embrace the chaotic beauty of weddings together.

Same time it is 2:10. [Music] Who would have thought hell would really exist and that it would be in New Jersey? Screaming at people at gas stations is a New Jersey tradition. From Caucus New Jersey. It's everybody's favorite game show. Oh, there's nothing in the world like action. The North calls this a sub, while the South calls it a hogy. The North calls this Taylor ham and the South calls it pork roll. Hey, you talking about Jersey? Me and my friends are from Jersey. Oh crap, there's more of them. Hey, come on. There's people from Jersey all over. Who here is from Jersey? [Music] Who needs a house? Can't forget New Jersey. I can't forget New Jersey. Walking home every day. Over by a good bridge. Cuz down the shore, everything rings around. The sun shines brightly on a Jersey afternoon. There we shore. [Music] What are you here? What do you say? Live from New Jersey, it's Dominsky and More on New Jersey 101.5. Hello. Good afternoon. Brand new work week here. It's a Monday. We are Jeff and Kylie. I'm Jeff Deinsky. I'm Kylie Moore. And uh you can always reach us at 1800 283101.5. And yeah, we uh we are starting up on our show. I mean, it started with Bill Spadyy this morning, but we're starting up another week of the $1,000 at work payday here in the afternoon show, and uh we have a code. You know, I'm just going to read it right now. No, no, no. Oh, the meetings they would have. Oh, man. Somewhere the higherups at Town Square Media, they don't know why, but the hairs raised on the back of their neck, right? Their Spidey sense was like, Daminsky said something. Go to the tape. Now, that is coming up in about about 10 or slightly less minutes or slightly fewer minutes. Uh coming up on New Jersey 101.5. This is your shot at a daily prize of $1,000. You just have to enter that code. And again, um I can't stress this enough. It changes every hour. So, every time you hear it, it's a different code. Enter every code you hear. It greatly increases your odds of winning. And I mean, listen, I know you're busy. We appreciate you making New Jersey 101.5 part of your day, but if you're going to be listening a lot, I mean, if you end up listening like, you know, spot here, spot there, if you listen like three or four times when that code is read, enter it all three or four times, it will really greatly increase your chance of winning. And as always, I want to point out, if you can't enter it at the time, like let's say you're driving right now and you can't hear that the code is XYZ, what do you get? You have until midnight. Yeah. Remember it. Yeah. Enter it when you get home. Yeah. And you know, one thing we heard, by the way, that um some people were for whatever reason, and I don't understand it, a lot of people were playing the game and they were thinking that their code was not accepted or something, but we hear from the departments in charge of this that yes, they all are, that they're good. What Jeff is saying is, "We hear you. We see you." Yeah. I don't know what you are accepted by the NJ 1015 app, right? Yeah. I mean, I don't know what is misleading people, but but what we're being told is uh when people are entering it, whatever you're seeing on your end, I'm not sure, but they but they're saying that yes, it is all being recorded. So, you are in the running. All right. So, our phone number is 1800 283101.5. Uh we have to talk about uh at some point the latest Tik Tok challenge which involves I mean this is really which involves something we have to be delicate about. Yeah. It's really like the end of the line for uh the human species here when when a tick tock challenge involves public urination. But that's what it's involving and it's actually happening across the Delaware and Bucks County. We'll we'll explain when we uh when we get to that. Um, also in New Jersey, there was an epic epic wedding fail. No one's fault in the reception. It wasn't like two people got caddyy and fought. It wasn't like anybody, you know, had a drunk uncle. It had to do with electricity. And we will explain what happened coming up later on in the show. Uh, right now though, I understand you want to talk about something that's going to make my head explode. Um, that's one way of putting it. I was going to say that we are going to celebrate the current season of fall. Hanbug. Oh, okay. Scrooge. Yeah, humbug. No, I have a post up on nj115.com about how USA Today named one New Jersey brewery as having one of the best pumpkin beers across the nation. Oh, well, thank God. What? Thank god somebody named one of the best pumpkin beers. Pumpkin beers are great. I'm just so tired of pumpkin. How can you be tired of it? It comes like two months, once a year. If it were so great, if pumpkin flavored things were so great, you could just make it year round. No, it hits different. It hits different in the fall. Ah, whatever. Yeah. And you know why? Because it's a cheesy novelty. Pumpkin fla It is pumpkin flavor this, pumpkin flavor that, whatever. It's not that big of a deal. And you know what else? Today is National Coffee Day. As you know, you know how many coffee places go crazy with their Oh, pumpkin spice latte. Oh. Oh, did you get a pumpkin spice latte? Oh, you got to get a pumpkin spice latte. Get a vente. Oh, yeah. Those are delicious. Why are you poo pooing them? Because it's just First of all, pumpkin doesn't even taste that good. Pumpkin beers do. Oh, you I have had them. They actually don't. They don't really. No, we are so close to where my favorite pumpkin beer is. Maybe one of these days after the show I will take you to Riverhorse Brewery. Yeah, they're Oh, their hippo lantern. Yes, queen. No, wait a minute. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Riverhorse is literally down the street. Okay. Because I've heard of them forever, but I don't believe I've been to them. Oh, I've been there many times. Yeah. Well, yeah, because you went to college not far from here back in the day. I imagine you were there many times. Yeah. But yeah, their uh their pumpkin beer is called Hippo Lantern. And I have had what what I was going to say. That said, they were not the one that USA rated the best pumpkin beer. So, maybe I have to try out this one. And if you want to find out what it is, you can find it on nj1015.com. And listen, if you're into it, it's not that I'm trying to knock it. I mean, if you're into it, cool. It's just that I don't really understand the whole fascination with, you know, you hit September and October, maybe a little bit of November, and everything is pumpkin everything. All the talk is pumpkin this, pumpkin that, pumpkin spice latte, pumpkin coffee, pumpkin beer, pumpkin pumpkin candle. Yeah. Well, yeah. Yeah. Fall flavors are seasonal flavors are great. And I feel like you you really put them down. I don't think they're overrated at all. Put it this way. Would you have a slice of pumpkin pie while having a beer? Yes. No, you wouldn't. What are you talking about? That was like the That was the worst example you could have used because I love pumpkin pie. Yeah, but would you have it with a beer is what I'm saying. Yes, I love beer also. Okay, now that's weird. I'm sorry. That's because it's two things that don't normally go together. And so that's how I feel about a pumpkin flavored beer. I think you're bringing that to the table. I don't think that's standard. And I will admit, by the way, I am probably largely alone in this. Like any friend I've ever had, anybody I ever went out with, everybody was like, "Oh, you're stopping at the liquor store? Oh, can you pick up some pumpkin beer?" It's like, I guess. I mean, I don't get it. That's going to be a party of you, but yeah, fine. I'll pick it up. not having any. And it's not like I haven't tried it. It's just it's it's mid. It's me. It's not mid. This coming from someone who's like, "Well, I just order a Bud Light." No, I never drink Bud Light. Coors Light. Coors Light. They're the Jeff. I've got news for you. They're the same thing. They're fizzy water. You're drinking Seltzer. All right. So, listen. Our phone number is 1800 283101.5. Just before we get the real show going here, can we just get like a quick opinion on this for a couple of minutes at least? Are seasonal flavors like pumpkin rather overrated, or do you genuinely look forward to this? And what what are some of your favorites? Whether it's a pumpkin beer from a certain place, a certain brand of pumpkin um wait, did I say pumpkin beer? Mhm. Oh, I meant I meant I'm sorry. I meant like pumpkin flavored coffee from a certain place or pumpkin flavored beer uh you know of a certain brand or whatever pumpkin thing it is. Are seasonal flavors overrated or what do you like? 1800283101.5. Here's Fastrack news just before Charlie. Oh, I'm going I got the night off. I need to see where they are. I'm right there in free. Oh, I am bringing rotting lettuce. I am bringing the best. I'm going to study hecklers on YouTube. That's what I'm going to do. I'm going to study I'm going to study the hecklers that were involved when Bill Burr did that Philadelphia show with uh Opie and Anthony. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, right on Route 9. Okay, that's easy. Oh, see, right. Yeah. Oh, I'm going to be prepared. Oh, yeah. They will love that, I'm sure. No, I love all of them. I I enjoy all of them. I'm friends with all of them. All right. So, our phone number is 1 800 283101.5. Seriously, now this is the time of year. It's almost October and we're hearing about all these uh seasonal flavors. Kylie has a story about a beer that was voted. Was it was it the number one pumpkin flavored beer in the whole country? It was, I believe, number two. Oh, okay. So, it was way up there, though. But certainly number one in New Jersey. I don't believe any other Jersey beers made the list. Right. Right. Right. Yeah. because this was a national list of pumpkin flavored beers. Now, if you're into that, okay, I don't get you. And that's kind of what we're talking about are seasonal flavors, whether it's beer, whether it's uh coffee, things I can't even imagine. Okay, I guess there's like pumpkin flavored bake, you know, baked goods, you know, pumpkin muffins, all that. We have a lot of app message coming in, but I want to get to college first. I'm sorry. She thought, "Are are they a little overrated or am I a party of one?" 1 800283 101.5. Joe and Hampton, you're on New Jersey 101.5. Uh, good afternoon, Kylie and Jeff. I am over it. Uh, pumpkin has no flavor. It's basically cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove. It's a little too heavy for me. And I think the the uh the the the products that come out every year is a little out of control. Today I was at the shop, right? I saw Hatfield had pumpkin spice flavored bacon. Okay. You know what? That's where That's where I do draw the line. Did they really? They're doing pumpkin bacon now. Oh, this is great. It's out there. It's out there. I almost wanted to buy it just as an experiment. Right. Right. Like put on your white lab coat and just give it a whirl. Yeah. No, I don't know, guys. Do you think it would be similar to like maple bacon where it's just kind of a fall flavored bacon? I don't know. But I don't think we need to know. Okay. All right. So, you're with me then. You're uh you're a little over the whole pumpkin craze. We lost him. Oh, we lost him. Oh, yeah. I looked up and I was like, he was so furious about pumpkin spice bacon. He was like, "I can't even talk to them anymore." All right. So, so it's a party of two. Not a party of one. It's a party of two because yes, some people on the app are agreeing with me. Ah, of course. The boss in Monroe. I simply have to assume that it's Bruce Springsteen because I don't know what other the boss would be writing in. So, we're just going to go with that narrative and plow forward. Uhhuh. The boss in Monroe said, "I had pumpkin pancakes on Sunday and they were amazing." Daminsky, I have had pumpkin pancakes. Pumpkin pancakes? They're really good. There's two. How many different pumpkin thing? Okay, you know what? I have a new question to throw in this mix. Okay, I mean, same question stands. Are seasonal flavors like pumpkin a little overdone? But what different things are they flavoring with pumpkin now? Anything and everything. Cuz he cuz that guy said bacon. This person is saying pancakes. Pancakes have been around for a while. I had these in college. I did. I never heard of pumpkin flavored pancakes, but that's okay. All right. So, that's one of them. Yeah. And then this is good to know. This is Euingentric, but Sloum's bowling alley, which is one of my college haunts, uh, in Euing is currently serving the Hippo Lantern, which is the Riverhorse pumpkin beer that I was mentioning, right? So, that's good to know. Uh-huh. And then Scott and from Florida. Have you ever been bowling in your life? Yeah. Have you? Many times. Really? Mhm. You? I'm like an idiot, Santing. Are you actually good? No, I'm bad for the first like five turns and then then five frames. It's frames and then the rest of it I'm like, "Oh, that's how this works." That's a perfectly fine way of phrasing. Okay, fine. All right, go ahead. Carry on. Scott in Florida is saying Kylie's not weird. That's the first time that has ever been said on this app. Yeah, pumpkin pie and a bruski sounds so good. Oh, please. It You know what? They're just trying to get to me. It's not that weird to have pumpkin pie in a beer. They're just weaponizing pumpkin. That's what they're doing. Because they don't really work well together. How in what world? What? Okay. What would you pair with a pumpkin pie? Uh milk. Maybe maybe a coffee if you're into that. Maybe some hot chocolate. Certainly not a beer. That just made me start sweating. Milk. Milk over a beer with pumpkin pie. Absolutely. A beer is so much lighter than milk. It's already dairyesque. You asked, I answer. What can I tell you? That was insulting. You You asked I would pair. I answered you. I've never seen you drink milk in my life. Well, that's fine. You've even been over my house back in the day. But yeah, I don't drink a lot of milk, but if I'm having a pumpkin pie, I might. Man, the show before Thanksgiving, I am bringing in a slice of pumpkin pie. I dare you to drink milk in front of me. Oh, that's fine. All right. So, are seasonal flavors like pumpkin a little overrated? So far, it's only a party of two that believe it is. 1-800 283101.5. Hey, it's Kylie. Just checking in. So, okay. I remember where I had heard of pumpkin bacon before. Our friend Cassar and Kyle. Yeah. He's mentioned it in the past. He speaks highly of it. And I I trust him because he's very good with flavors. You know, he makes his own hot sauces. He he does a lot with cooking. He'll just be in favor of anything you can burn in a skillet. Come on. I mean, seriously, can make it with a skillet? I'm in. Spam. I'm in. I don't know if I'm trying pumpkin spice bacon anytime soon, but I'm happy he's happy. I was more blown away actually by the uh pumpkin uh flavored uh pancakes that you mentioned. Really? Yeah. Oh, that's surprising because there's like pumpkin muffins, pumpkin bread, pumpkin pie. I know. Oh, yeah. I guess what? Oh, okay. You guys couldn't see it. He just did an eye roll at pumpkin pie. What was that? Is there pumpkin cake? Well, it's just all of it. Is there pumpkin cake? I'm sure. I'm sure. Pumpkin cake. Tell me when this happens. It's America. There is pumpkin cake. Okay. It's America, right? You're in a small town in Iowa, the heartland, right? Little little boy is turning seven. Little boy's turning seven, right? You're painting a picture. Hey. Hey, Johnny. Well, no. Nobody's named Johnny anymore. Hey, Noah. Noah. Liam. Noah. I know Liam had his birthday a month ago. Noah. So, Noah, what do you what kind of cake do you want? Oh, I want a pumpkin cake. When is that ever said? What kid longs for a pumpkin cake? Celebrate their birthdays, too. Yeah. This is all just manipulative. Big pumpkin. It is. It's big pumpkin manipulating adults. No kid is ever I mean a kid only craves pumpkin once a year at Thanksgiving. That's pretty much it. So yeah, it's like the pumpkin farmers of America that got a lobby and they got like the most outstanding PR firm and somehow it caught on. I don't get it. Well, some of us like seasonal flavors. Do you or don't you? At 1800283101.5. Mary in South Jersey, you're on New Jersey 101.5. Hello. Good afternoon. Hi. Hey Mary. Hi. Um, I love everything pumpkin and I make a wicked pumpkin soup. Oh, there's even a pumpkin soup. Yeah, pumpkin biscuit is a thing. Oh, okay. Yeah, it's delicious. And you said you make your own? Yeah, I do. I have a question though. Like, what do you do in the spring when the strawberries around or the summer when the Jersey corn and Jersey tomatoes? Like, do you not eat them or you hate them too? I mean, oh no, I would eat them, but I but I don't need beer flavored like a Jersey tomato. I I I don't need bacon I don't need bacon flavored like Jersey corn. You guys are joking. I've legitimately had that. What? Beer flavored like a Jersey tomato. Yes. See, tomato basil beer. Shout out Beach House Brewery in Belar. They're trying too hard. It was actually really delicious. I mean, Mary, I love Jersey tomato. I'll just like sit I mean, Kylie's seen me do it and she gets grossed out. I will sit there and eat it like an apple. I don't need to put it on anything. I do too. I like on it. Yeah. So, and I love it and I love Jersey corn, but I I don't need other things flavored like it like it's its own thing is what I'm saying. I don't know. I look forward to, you know, the change of seasons and the different taste and flavors and what's in season with the farmers at that time. So, I don't know. It's just kind of for me, it's kind of exciting. It's something to look forward to. I hear you, Mary, and I am right there with you. What do you have that's strawberry flavored other than like a strawberry pop-tart? Oh, strawberry shortcake. Strawberry ice cream. There's all kinds of strawberry stuff. Okay. Strawberry ice cream is like bread. If you get some Neapolitan ice cream, I mean, honestly, it's the kill of friend Mary kill. When it comes to Neapolitan ice cream, I have a Yeah, vanilla. Vanilla is Mary. Um, I have to be so careful when I say this. Friend. Remember to say friending on the D button. I know. Chocolate is friend and uh and strawberry is kill. Although strawberries in a nice froz flavors are nice. Jeff Mary, thank you for calling New Jersey 101.5. Didn't something come up not that long ago or was this a fever dream I had that you were ranting about strawberry milk being bad? Oh god. Uh yeah, strawberry and banana milk hard pass. All right. So this was this did happen. This was a thing that was said. Gun to my head. I could not tell you the context, but yes. I have no idea either. That's what I mean. We do a f I mean it's 25 hours on air every week, man. I can't remember what the hell we talking about. Yeah. When people come up to you, they're like, "Remember when you said this?" I'm like, like, "No, it was last week." Still no. Okay. What did you say at 417 to your coworker two weeks ago? I don't know. Yeah. Exactly. Exactly. Anyh who, seasonal flavors. Are they overrated, underrated, properly rated? Do you hate them? Do you love them? 1800 283101.5. James and Lawrence, you're on New Jersey 101.5. Yeah. Um, I tried pumpkin bath bomb and pumpkin soap and it was horrible. See? See? They're just flying too close to the sun. Right. First of all, I'm so happy that you had a bath bomb. Second, what were you saying, Jeff? What do you care if you had a bath bomb? I just love that relaxing uh, you know, narrative for him, right? But you tried it and it's like, why do I need Why do I need a pumpkin floating around in my bathtub? Right. Yeah. It wasn't It didn't mix well with taking a bath. Yeah, I could see that. It Yeah. So, um um um I want to tell Kylie about the best pumpkin beer there is. Where is it? Because um um it's called Weighin Backer. You can get it at any um liquor store. And what's wayin Backer? Way back. Wayer Backer. I feel like I've seen this but never had it. I feel like I've seen this label. That's the Imperial pumpkin ale. That is That is like eating a pumpkin pie, a slice of pumpkin pie and drinking a beer at the same time, which I see. And I maintain that people wouldn't want to do that. I feel like they wouldn't go together. But I guess you're saying I'm wrong. It's wildly popular. It sells out very quickly. Oh, I every I've definitely had I'm I just Googled it. I've definitely had this and I agree with you. Oo, I love a pumpkin beer. Uhhuh. Okay. Don't poo poo us. Are there cucumber beers? Probably. How about a zucchini beer? You know, I could go for a good zucchini beer. Barky, what do you have? What do you have back there? Not as good as the tomato beer, I'll tell you that much. Just read me the entire menu of zucchini beers. Go ahead. Okay. Okay. James, thank you for calling New Jersey 101.5. And I will be having one of these on the way home after home. After I get home. After home. I was going to say, what do you mean on your way home? No, that would take way too much effort. I know you were combining buying it on your way home with having it at home. I know what you're doing. All right. So, we're talking about uh seasonal flavors like pumpkin this, pumpkin that. There's pumpkin coffees. It is National Coffee Day today. Uh, are seasonal flavors like pumpkin a little overrated? 1800 283101.5. I think we should give a $100 gift. It is 251 coming up actually on uh 252 and we've got Rick Rickman's news coming up. Uh he's going to have an update to how talks are going to try to end the Gaza war. After that, there is a really disturbing Tik Tok challenge. One of the more disturbing that I've ever heard. Uh we will talk. We've heard a lot of them. And we've heard a lot. I've even written articles and this is just sick. But uh we'll talk about it coming up after Rick's news. Uh and yes, another cash code on the way for the thousand at work payday. Make sure that you're listening about 20 minutes after the hour. All right. So 1-800283 101.5 your take on pumpkin flavors or any other seasonal flavors. Do they suck? Chris and Jackson, you're on New Jersey 101.5. Hey Chris, they absolutely do. I will only eat pumpkin pie. Nothing pumpkin spice. And my husband just bought a box of pumpkin spice frosted flakes. Disgusting. I love you. I Oh my god. Oh, I have a question though. I love your take on this. What about other seasonal flavors? Like, are you into, let's say, peppermint in the winter time? I like that. It's just something about pumpkin spice. Oh my god, I can't even drink that coffee. Gross. People act like it's some holy grail. I mean, people You know what? I wouldn't be surprised. And I have not I did never looked it up, but I wouldn't be surprised if some low rent toothpaste company made pumpkin flavored toothpaste. I would not be surprised. The I bet you the thing is people say that they and I'm including myself in this one. People say that they love pumpkin spice. What we really love is just cinnamon. That's all it is. Yeah. Well, cinnamon's not bad, but pumpkin spice is just Oh, horrible. Uh, I am look Oh my god. I'm actually looking up pumpkin flavored toothpaste. What? What do you have? You can get it on Amazon. What? Pumpkin flavored toothpaste. Uh, that's what I was seeing. And now my phone is glitching. Oh, so I'm just going to say Oh, here it is. Yes. Pumpkin spice toothpaste. Pumpkin spice chewing gum. Oh, Chris, they have Chris, you and me, we got we got to go to war. This has gone too far. Pumpkin flavored toothpaste. All right. They even sell it at CVS. Look at this. Why? Why would anybody put that in their mouth? Pumpkin spice gunk. That's the wrong vibe. I don't need that. You brush your teeth. It tastes like pumpkin. You feel like you got to brush your teeth again. Disgusting. Oh, I am. You know what? I'm actually with you guys on this one. Oh, finally. Yeah. Yeah. I I don't need that. Welcome to the party, pal. Thank you. Merry Christmas, Chris. Thanks for calling New Jersey 101.5. For anyone who just thinks that I have a stroke, uh, that was a diehard line. Um, by the way, a couple of things from the app. Uh, let's see. I agree with Damky. Pumpkin flavored everything is way overrated. I would say the best out of all the pumpkin flavored things is the beer. But, but one six-pack a year is good enough for me. I can get behind that actually. Yeah. Uh, somebody wrote uh Tommy in Bernardsville wrote pumpkin pie. Pump pie. Pumpkin pie plus Budweiser equals happy guy. P.S. don't forget the cool whip. There you go. Fair enough, Tommy. We're going to have Rick's news in 5 minutes on New Jersey 101.5. Don't you go anywhere. Terms and conditions posted at texting terms us. The Bet Parks online casino and sports book app chime time is 310. It's the Deinsky and More Show. I'm Kylie Moore. And I'm Jeff Deinsky. 1 800 283101.5. This is uh this is kind of funny or creepy if you believe in this sort of thing. Uh we'll talk about it more later, but apparently Six Flags Great Adventure with their Frightfest. I guess that's why they did it. But word on the street is that Six Flags Great Adventure sent like a 2 and 1/2t tall Annabel doll from The Conjuring from The Conjuring Real Life, right? Technically, right? Oh yeah. Well, yeah. I mean, yeah. I mean, they I mean, there are people who really do believe that this doll is genuinely haunted. Oh, we have it posted on both the station's Instagram and uh I posted it on my Instagram saying if the station goes off the air, it's on her, right? Anything bad. If you run out of gas today, it's on her. If you make a mistake, it's on her. Come on. It's just a doll. It's not even the doll. It's not even the I mean, or is it? Nah. I mean, even if you believe in that lore about the actual Annabelle doll, I mean, this is just a replica doll. Mhm. You know, it's actually creepier than the actual Annabelle doll. Why do you say that? Because I've seen pictures of the actual Annabelle doll. The Warren were con artists also. I disagree. I disagree that this one is creepier. The other one's just a raggedy and doll. Yeah, but it's different just because that's the one that a lot of people swear has something going on with it. That's all. But this this one still looks creepier. Yeah. I mean, yeah. Well, yeah, but it's Okay, that's what I was saying. Yeah. Tell that to yourself 45 seconds ago. Nah, I No, I just I don't think so. I don't think it looks creepy at all. I was giving it the middle finger. I was tempted. I think it's because you were threatened. I was I was giving it the double I was giving it the double jersey salute as a matter of fact. Oh, I thought one was to Annabelle, one was to Rick. No, no, no, no. It was both to Annabelle. It was like, bring it. It's like whatever. It's silliness. Uh, hey Annabelle, if you can hear us, Jeff speaks for himself. Whatever. All right. So, uh, yeah, we'll be talking about that later on. Yeah. Um, oh, and uh, also at some point today, we got to tell you this crazy wedding reception story where everything went wrong and they were literally trapped with no electricity and they could not leave because the parking lot could have been electrified. We'll explain later on. It's a hell of a story. Only in New Jersey, man. All right, so our phone number is 1800 283101.5. Yes, it is another $1,000 at work payday. Yes, coming up in about 10 minutes or under, we uh will have another code for you. So, be listening for that. So, this actually happened across the river in Pennsylvania, but you know how Tik Tok works. It will probably it's probably already spread to New Jersey. Um, outrage in Bucks County as the Tik Tok P challenge Oh. hits. Uh-huh. It's the P challenge. Now, Dan Alexander has a write up on this. Let me let me explain. Someone started posting a video of themselves at least appearing to pee at public locations during the night at several Bucks County schools and also at a museum possibly as part of a Tik Tok challenge. The video is on the name of an account that I cannot legally read because of the P word that they use. Mhm. I mean, I would change it to Bucks County Pier, which would be legal, but that's not what it is. But it's an Instagram page, a nasty, disgusting one. And um the videos open with um well a stream of liquid on the ground followed by the camera then panning upwards to show the um person's location. Now they're not entirely 100% sure if this is actually the act or if it's maybe being replicated. Maybe it's water. Maybe it's not really, but you know, I mean, come on. They're on TikTok. They're not gonna be that bright, right? It's probably the real thing. But anyway, and they're calling it this P challenge. Since the first video was posted, the account has gained nearly 7,000 followers. Good God. I know. Among the locations are Cornwell Egan Catholic High School in Fairless Hills. That's right across the bridge out of uh Yeah. I mean like you take like Route One and it's like right across the bridge across from Delaware. Uh the Raising Cane Restaurant in Oxford Valley, Bucks County Technical High School, County Rock High School North. They must be so proud. Pensbury High School and also Namony High School. So you see you see the uh the stream emanating. That's all you see is just the stream and then the camera goes up and then I guess you see the sign on the uh on the building and this is supposed to be something that they want others to do. Thus the Tik Tok challenge. Why? For what and for whom? Right. Those who have watched these videos are leaving suggestions for more places to go and do it at. Hey, my mother-in-law's house and I'm very Hey, no, keep going. Keep going. Hey, New Jersey 101.5. Hey. Oh, no. You gave them the idea. Hey, motor vehicle commission. Yeah. And then I was curious uh furthermore in uh Dan's article that most of the vehic the videos are set to songs ranging from Nirvana and the theme from the TV series Dexter. I only watched a few episodes of Dexter. Do you understand why that would be relevant? Just that it's I guess a little dark. I think just the connotation of Dexter and the connotation of Nirvana. I think just that it's a little dark. I think that's all. I don't think there's anything, you know, peeworthy about either, but I think just that it's a little, you know, it's a little dark. I think it's that's I think it's the only reason. Uh, one police officials asked by levittownow.com about the video said it's not clear if it was actually urine or water being involved. Well, maybe one then the other. Oh my gosh. Uh, the challenge has even led like this is not just there because the challenge has led to some bathrooms at a Montana high school being closed, calling this the P challenge. Bristol, Connecticut police on their Facebook page said they are investigating their own instances of this tick tock P challenge. What is wrong with people? I mean, listen, if you've got to do it, isn't it is isn't it that you're desperate and not that you're trying to get likes in my experience, right? Who's going to like that? Why would you like that? Oh, Jeff, there are people out there. There's that. Well, there are weirdos out there. Come on. What the hell's the point? And it's like, all right, so you pan up and you show, oh, you got them. Oh, you did it on the local hospital. So, it's just so stupid, right? It's just so dumb, man. All right. So, I mean, I I don't know. I feel I feel like 99% of the time that people who um run a foul of the law and cross that line into the world of public urination, and by the way, this is illegal in all 50 states. Yes, I looked it up. I was just curious. I was like, is there one rogue state out there where they're like, "Me, go ahead. We don't care." There's not. All 50 states have laws. I feel like Florida's probably like a little lex. Like, it's on the books, but there's no enforcement. Yeah. Right. Florida, man. Headline. Yeah. But all 50 states have it on the books that uh public urination is uh not okay. And so, if you ever did it, what were the circumstances? That's all I want to know. Do not be overly descriptive. We will not We know where it comes from, right? We will not air it, but just if you peed in public. That's all we want to know. Where and why. We know how. We know with what. We're not going to hear that part. We just want to know the where and the why. 1 800283101.5. Oh boy. Follow this. 319. Here's fast traffic. Vince, that was easy. So I'm 3:25 with Jeff and Kylie. Rick's news coming up in 5 minutes. Among other things, he will tell us about parents in South Jersey who are being charged with failing to supervise their kids right now. Speaking about failing to supervise, peeing in public, who's done it. Yeah. Are we also taking who's seen it when you didn't expect it or just who's done it? Supervise your nether regions. Um, say don't say nether regions. Nether regions. Um any um actually yeah even just stories about it like did you catch anybody doing it? You know like were you uh you know you work in a diner and it's like 1:00 in the morning and you're uh you're bringing some garbage bags out to the dumpster and you catch some creep peeing in your alley. Yeah. I mean we'll take uh we'll take any uh Yeah, because I've been on both sides of the story. You've been the creep. Um she's been the creep. She's been the creep. I mean, I there's only one time that I can remember doing this, and I know that seems preposterous because I realize most people have done it far more than once, but I really try to avoid doing that. I don't want to end up on some weirdo list because, you know, like they won't explain what it is. They'll just put you at like a, oh, you're a tier three or whatever the whatever the least volatile one is. Yeah. I'll trust you on that one. I have no clue. Yeah. Yeah. But like like like they won't really like unless you really delve into it, they won't explain what it was. They'll just like, you know, say, "Oh, yeah. Yeah, you're some sort of like pervert offender." It's like, "Well, yeah, I was just I was just I had to pee. That's all it was." Um I can't help that. Yeah. But whether whether you were the person doing it or whether you're the person who caught somebody doing it, doesn't matter. We want to hear your story about peeing in public at 1800283101.5. This used to be such a problem in Hoboken. I don't know that it is anymore, but years ago, they used to dedicate a certain night of the week in Hoboken Municipal Court only for public urination cases. And that's all they that's all they would do. They would not hear traffic tickets. They would not hear anything else. They would not hear noise complaints. The entire evening weekly was dedicated to just public urination complaints because there were a lot of bars and there were a lot of college kids and there was a lot of public peeing and that's how much uh that that's how many tickets were being written that they had to appear in court. Couldn't this just be solved by having more bathrooms either portaotties or otherwise public restrooms? You know what's funny? I have an article coming out this week about that very thing. Oh, I cosign as long as you're saying that there should be more. Well, well, there was a study that was done and we are really low among uh all 50 states. We really have a problem with a lack of public bathrooms. Like, okay, there's so many people in this state, we all have to pee. This is nerdy. This is nerdy. But the national average is 16 public bathrooms per 100,000 people. And New Jersey only has six compared to 16 per 100,000 people. We're like 38th, man. We're like we're hurting for public bathrooms. Jack Chitterelli, Mikey, Cheryl, I know you're not listening, but this should be on your platform. Yeah, stop fighting about the stupid stuff and get on this, man. There's nowhere to be in this state. Don't care about the uh the cheating scandal. I care about public restrooms and how we should have more. Do I do I dare confess my public urination story? You think it's worse than I think it is. It's a little weird because I mean there were many people around. Like I mean I think most people pee when there's nobody around. But go ahead. And by the way, and if you've got a story of your own, just keep it clean enough. 1 800283101.5. Who's done it or who has, you know, caught it being done. So you seem to think this is weirder than I do, but this was in college. I was at a house party and the line for the more than once and the line for the bathroom was way too long and I know my own body and I was like this will not do. So my roommate and I went to the it was her boyfriend at the time now husband's house so we felt like we had authority to go to their bushes and just um let it out and like we were far enough away from each other. Yeah, but you were in line of sight of everybody else. You said there were other people outside, right? They could have just looked over. We faced away. They weren't going to see anything. It was dark. Could they see you at all? Even Even? I can't know that. Yeah. Yeah, they could. I was from the different perspective. Drunk. They didn't see anything interesting. I'll tell you that. You were stinking drunk. Yeah. They didn't see anything interesting. And like And like animals, did you always whenever you had these house parties, did you always have your special corner? Like your pee corner? Did you always go to the same corner of the yard? We had our bush. So, like a cat, right? You would always go to the same spot. Marked our territory. And guess what? What? Didn't have to stand in line. Uh-huh. Got the job done, I guess. That's all I'm going to say. All right. All right. Uh, good for you. Yay. All right. So, we want girl power. I saw something so funny once on the New Jersey Turnpike regarding this, I got to tell you, coming up. But I have another story for that, too. Okay. Do you Mhm. Oh, boy. Where haven't you peed in public? I It wasn't me. This was one that I witnessed. All right. But that's a valid question. We want to know uh peeing in public stories. What have you got? 1 800283101.5. Family Farm is open for the fall se. This is a true story. It was kind of an exciting moment. I'm driving here today, right? I swear to God, I'm right behind a Maple Leaf Farms truck. It had the logo Maple Leaf Farms and it had some sort of trees like with that burlap around the bottom. They looked possibly 5 to six feet tall. This is true story. I was horrified what direction you were going in based on what this topic is. No, no, it has nothing to do with the topic. And and I'm pulling alongside this maple leaf farm truck and I'm looking over and now that I've learned the word, I wanted to yell at the guy, "Hey, you hauling arbor vites or what?" Nice arbor vites, right? Nice arbor vites, baby. But uh but yeah, I didn't do it. I But but they could have been. For all I know, I think you made the right decision. I was for all I know, I was neck and neck with arborites on the way in work. So yeah, I was just I was just glad I expanded in my vocabulary. Absolutely terrified on where that was going because we're talking about peeing in public and that's not what Maple Leaf Farms did. Yeah, there's a stupid tick- tock challenge and a lot of them are schools because a lot of people who do these challenges are teenagers and people are being encouraged to go and urinate in public and show the not themselves but the you know stream and then the camera would pan up is the way they want you to do the video and show the location like you know James Madison school or wherever it might be, right? And it's this dumb stupid thing and it's not a good reason to pee. The only good reason to pee in public is cuz you're absolutely desperate. I mean, that's my take on it. But who's got a story? Just keep it clean. 1 800283 101.5. Joe in Tom's River, you're on New Jersey 101.5. St. Patty's Day. Oh, forget it. That could be the end of the call. Listen, that that might be the number one day for this sort of thing, right? Give me an abberiety or whatever you were talking about, right? So, for a little cover, anything. So, you know how St. Patty's Day is anywhere. Lines at the bars, you can't go pee anywhere. I'm in Seaside Heights. I wanted to be nice. Yeah. I found a nice closed alleyway behind some dumpsters. The dumpster spelled like old clams for 17 days. Oh my god. Nobody wants to go back there anyway. So, right. You didn't even want to be there. Right. You're being polite. I didn't want to be there. No. Right. I do my business. I'm on my way back out. As I get to the sidewalk, a cop stops me. He was like, "What were you doing back there?" Being a responsible adult. I said, "Oh, I just took a pee back there." Oh, don't tell him. Don't tell him you were praying. You have no idea. It was a $500 ticket. No. And And only because you admitted it, though. Did he? Only because I admitted it. I could have said, "Oh, I was just looking for a scraps." Right. Right. Yeah. You know, I got lost. I was looking for a side entrance. I I just took a pee back there. Oh, nope. They took out that book so quick, man. I No way. That book so quick. $20. Did you Did you have to Did you have to appear in court or just send in the check? Oh, no. You had to go to court. Oh, that's so embarrassing, man. I had to go to court cuz the original I think the fine was like $379. It was $79 in court cost. Was it a male or a female judge? Uh, it was a male judge. Okay. And he couldn't understand. I don't know. N it was it was St. Patty's Day, right? Yeah. And and when he found you guilty of it, did you say, "Come on, judge. Do you pee sitting down?" I didn't want to go to Ocean County Jail, Joe. That was probably wise. Yeah, probably a wise move. Now, thank you for calling New Jersey 101.5. Joe, we appreciate the story. Okay. I have no idea what's about to be said, but Danny D. Crosenzo from the newsroom has a story. I do. I do. So, it was You're not going to get fired. No. No. It wasn't me that did it. Oh, thank God. You can tell that the director is off today. No, she's off. Yeah. No, but we were in Aspbury Park late night and if you've listened to the station, you probably know cuz I said it on Steve's show a million times. I don't drink. I'm a lifelong non drinker. So, I'm driver. Yeah, you said it, too. Yeah. So, I uh I was driving everybody home, but before we get in the car, it's like 1:00 in the morning. One of the guy goes, "Oh, I got to be so bad. I got to be so bad." Meanwhile, we're in the municipal parking lot right in front of the like the city hall. Yeah. And he goes, "I'm just going to pee right now." I go, "What are you doing?" So, he just goes in between the cars. There are cars parked. He's peeing. And there's And there's like no stopping this guy. No stopping this guy. He's peeing. He's peeing on the car. Peeing on the tire. Pee on somebody's tire. Oh my god. And it was It wasn't like he had to do a little drip. It was like a a long a long pee. How old were you guys at the time? This was like ear This was in the winter. This was this was late 2012. I was going to say this is very This is very recent. This was Saturday. Not quite Saturday, but it was very recent. And the car, it was the worst car ride home I've ever I've ever experienced cuz I'm like the guy next to me just peed on somebody else's car, right? And he's drunk as a skunk. Like he was he was gone. Oh, but he never got nailed for it. Never got nailed for it. Oh, I thought for sure when you said right across from city hall, I thought there was going to be a cop. No. No. I gave him a stern talking to him. Like, dude, if I'm driving you home, you got to like we're going to use I'll take you to a bathroom. I don't care. Don't do it. And we're we can get in trouble. I would not want to mess with We just heard the last caller. $500. Like I don't want to be liable for that, right? Let alone maybe on some I don't want to be eating and abetting public urination. Yeah. And you know what? When you're good enough to deal with people that are drinking and you don't drink and you're going to be a DD, a designated driver, it's like have some respect for the designated driver. Have some respect for the designated driver, the guy who's willing to do this. Yes. Saving you Uber money. Yes. So that's the story. I'm not getting fired. Danny, thank No problem. You're having a great show, guys. Great show. Why start now? Talk to you in 15 minutes when Denny has his news. All right, our phone number. We're talking about uh peeing in public stories if you have one. Did you catch somebody? Oh, what about what about if you live locally in a shore town, but during the summertime when all the tourists come? Oh, I bet you just that alone, you probably caught a lot of people. They must see nightmares, right? You've probably caught a lot of people doing that. But yeah, did you ever catch it? Uh, have you ever done it out of desperation? I still haven't told the turnpike story. 1 800283101.5 Dinsky. Are you tired of looking at 352 with Jeff and Kylie? Danny's news coming up momentarily. Okay, I'll make this story real quick because uh it happened a long time ago and I only have so many details. Mhm. This was maybe 20 years ago. My mom and I were driving on 195 to go to a race because that's when I was running and athletic and my mom saw someone pulled over on the side of the road and saw them peeing. So, man, woman, man. Okay. Back turned or back turned. Okay. At least good. So, she honked to be like, "We can see you." Okay. Yeah. But yeah, but then he might turn. Come on, Mom. Um, or even worse, what? As we were passing the car, we realized it was a cop car. So, she honked at a peeing cop. A cop was breaking this law. Mhm. And he was hung and he was called out for it. Oh, yeah. But you know what? He's not going to do anything because he knew he was wrong. So, what is he going to do? I think he was a little uh busy to do anything about it. So, it worked out. But it was like a Oh, what the blank? Oh, no. I should call a Oh, one of those. Hey. Wow. Um, let's get Joe on. Uh, Joe in North I'm sorry. Yeah, in North Brunswick. I was about to say New Brunswick. North Brunswick. Hi, Joe. How are you? Hey, how you doing? So, all right. This one's a little different. So instead of catching someone in the act, I caught someone dumping their pee outside my house. So look, there it's a couple. They're Amazon drivers. They both got their vest on. They're in the car and they're, you know, one's driving, the other one gets out. So I imagine that they probably had a long day, right? They're at this all day, right? And what And what do they have like Snapple bottles filled with it or something? Oh, so it looked like a, you know, one of those big seven up cups, right? So before they leave the area, one of them out the passengers front door, you know, opens the door and reaches out and dumps their cup. It looks like you're in. I can't prove it, but I imagine after a long day of driving Amazon, you probably got a pee, right? So you're not even mad at the guy. I'm not mad. So, and because they were working, I was like, man, I'm not I'm not going to give him a hard time. I just let it go. I was outside. I watched them. It was right outside my house. I know. Like you like you wish it were another guy's house, but you're not going to turn him in for it. You got to go. You got to go. Yeah. Joe, thank you for calling New Jersey 101.5. Real quick, one time I'm driving south on the turnpike and there's a guy blatantly on the side of the road just letting loose, peeing right in front of everybody, not even trying to hide it, not trying to take any cover. But the sad part of this was there was a huge sign right over him. Right over him. Rest area one mile. Sometimes he can't make it. Oh, come on. Anybody? What are you four? I'm talking to this guy. Like like what was he four years old? He can't make it one mile. Anybody can make it one mile. Yeah. Speak for yourself. No way. No way. News is coming up on New Jersey 101.5. The difference in home comfort with Edison heating. The parks casino chime time. It's 4:12. It is a Monday and we are Deky and more. I'm Jeff Damky. I'm Kylie Moore. We've got all your weather, all your traffic, all your news, anything that you need. And uh you know what else we have? We have an opportunity for you on this $1,000 at work payday uh to be in the running for that $1,000 prize. It's a daily $1,000 prize. There's a couple of upcoming days where that prize is going to go all the way to $10,000 and we'll tell you when those days run, you know, come come by. But, um, another code, you've got to listen for a code. It's a three-digit simple code, and you have to enter it on the New Jersey 101.5 app. And another code is coming up in about 10 minutes, maybe a little uh under that. So, don't go anywhere. Your shot is coming up. Um, I don't do this, but I should. If anybody should, it would be me. But I saw an article and I don't know if I ever talked about this before on the on on the show ever, but there's an article that's talking about how a lot of younger adults, and by younger, by the way, they're really running the age gra because they're said it's not like 20ome, they're saying people under 45 and they're calling that younger, right? So, they're saying that many, many, many people under age 45 are using closed caption. Yeah. Subtitles, right? Subtitles when they're watching TV. Many. Almost half. Of course. And see, well, you're under 45. I'm over 45. uh you say of course, but to somebody like me, it just seems like it's only something that was meant for completely deaf people and that's not how it's being used anymore. And I just want to throw this out and ask at 1800283 101.5 or you could also chime in on the New Jersey 101.5 app on the chat feature. Do you or do you not use the subtitles, the closed caption and why or why not? But if you're using it and especially I mean obviously we're not going to have deaf people listening to us. So you're going to be you're going to be I mean maybe you're slightly maybe you have a slight hearing issue, you know, maybe that's why you use it. But they're saying that a lot of younger people are using it for various reasons. Uh, like one thing is they say that a lot of people are just so multitasking when they're watching a show that they just want that backup because at the same time they're scrolling through their phone. That doesn't make sense. I know because if they're scrolling through their phone, their eyes aren't on the screen, but I swear to God, that's what the article said, right? It doesn't make sense. You would think your eyes are going to be on the screen or the subtitles aren't going to do any good, right? Yeah. Yeah, I hear you. I I understand that they did the research, but I reject that notion. I know. I I was about to point it out, but you beat me to it. Right. That doesn't seem to make sense. But it's one of the things they said. And they said that, you know, sometimes they're just watching it in a noisy environment. Sometimes sometimes and this I have noticed I don't know when it changed but at some point television production with audio quality seems to have changed and they make it more realistic but harder to hear. Yes. Right. Sound designers do less. You studied this stuff. You were not a major, but I mean you studied film classes. Were you a major? Yeah, radio, TV, film major. Oh, I thought it was just called a a comm major. Communications. Yeah, but okay. If we're going to get specific, communication studies, but there are different branches of communication studies. Like there's interpersonal communication, uh, like media relations, and then there's radio, TV, film. Oh, so you actually did major in this. There's probably more now. Oh, very cool. No, I I I honestly I genuinely didn't know. So, yeah. So like you studied this stuff. So I don't know when that happened, but if you look at like say old sitcoms from the 1980s, all the sound levels were pretty much the same. Everything sounded pretty clear. TV shows now, like one that comes to mind is Ozark. When that show was on, Ozark, there were some there was some dialogue, especially with that poppy seed farmer that kind of talk like this. Slingblade, was that his name? No, I'm saying it sounded like Slingblade. Oh, Slingblade. I didn't Oh, you needed subtitles for that comment. I needed Sling I needed subtitles for you just then. I thought he said linguid and I couldn't remember the guy's name so I was convinced that was his name. Um but right the the sound is different now. They make it so realistic that you kind of can't make everything out. And it's kind of frustrating like well well what's the point then? And I would ask people is like do you ever have a hard time understanding this guy? Like cuz like I know I've got hearing some hearing damage from all the years of headphones in my right ear. I've got moderate hearing damage in my right ear and aiologists have told me it's from all the many many years of wearing the uh headphones. And uh but yeah, even people who have no problem hearing, they said, "Yeah, I can never understand that, dude." It's like, well, for God's sakes, why make a show like that? Because they know that you could have subtitles. I guess. I guess. And not everyone in the outside world speaks perfectly. Yeah. Like you and me. All right. So, we want to know at 1800283101.5. We'll take your calls coming up on this. How true is this that younger people tend to and not and not that older people don't, but it's just that the larger group, it's not what you would think. You would think that the older you are, the more you would use subtitles because of hearing loss. Uh-uh. It's the people under 45 that use it most often. People between 45 and 60 use it about like three and 10 adults, but under 45 use it four in 10 adults. And here's what's really funny. Those 60 years old and older, they say they rarely to never use it. And like these are probably the people that need to use it the most. Those are the people who are stubborn, right? You would think you would think that they should be using it the most, but that's not how it goes. It's not always just about hearing loss. So yeah, we want to know when you're watching a TV show, a movie, are you turning the subtitles on? 1800283101.5. It's 418. Here's Fast Traffic. Your next vehicle from All American Super 424 is the time and uh Oh, darn the luck if you missed it. But yeah, we just did the cash code for this hour and uh once again uh coming up in about 56ish minutes. It's gonna be the last one for the day, but it all starts up again tomorrow morning with Bill Spadia in the eight o'clock hour. Thousand dollar at work payday. All right. So, there is an article that um it's talking about how younger adults use closed caption, use the subtitles on TV shows or movies uh more than older people, which is kind of weird and and everybody has seemingly like a different reason for doing it. But do you use them or not? And why do you use them? 1 800 283101.5. John in Mount Laurel, you're on New Jersey 101.5. Hey guys. Hey John. Hey John. What's going on? Hey. Um, yeah. So, I don't personally use them. My girlfriend uses them and so there's like this constant battle of turning them on and off and it's kind of like this just cold war we have. Okay. Wait, wait, wait. Before you go on, who gets more annoyed? You at her having them on or her at you not having them on? I'll be up me for having them on. Oh, I could. Yeah, if you don't like them on Oh, John. I can completely see that because it would be a distraction. Let her know I support her. Well, I'm I like to read a lot. Like, I'm a big reader. So, like if there's words, I can't I just can't. My brain just can't help but read them. So, I'm unfortunately like as much as I want to focus on it, I just can't. I have to read the words. Right. And you want to and you would rather look at the reactions, the facial expressions of the characters, and yet your eyes are going down to the bottom. Yeah. Oh, yeah. You know, we're watching like, you know, like a a Christopher Nolan movie or whatever. You want to watch the cinematography. I'm listening to what people are saying or what type of music's being played by a flute, you know. Okay. Yeah, that is an excellent specific. Yes. When they actually start describing Yeah. lilting music being played by flute in parenthesis. Oh, Stranger Things is terrible with that. Okay, John, may I ask uh how old are you and how old is your girlfriend? I'm 29 and she's 27. Okay, so you're very close in age, but yet you're you're more old school with this. You you can't be bothered. Now, does she say why she wants them on? She kind of says like what you said like uh with the audio like some people can't hear, right? But my whole thing is like I I just went to Walmart. I bought a soundbar. I can hear the character, you know, uh scratching himself, you know? I can hear everything. I don't know what he's talking about. Well, you know, younger and younger people are showing up with some hearing problems now. Like, you know, I'm not trying to be like, this sounds like a Debbie Downer thing. This sounds like you're switching teams. The number the number one killer of cats is feline leukemia. No, but but I mean it's true though. I mean like people in their 30s and even 20s are now showing up with hearing loss and you know cuz like we have all like the AirPods and all this crap and concerts and so maybe her hearing is not as good as yours. I don't know, man. Yeah, I think that's definitely the case. And the craziest thing is she yells at me and says my hearing is bad. I'm like you're the one who needs subtitles. How is mine bad? I feel like we're now in coup's therapy. Yeah. Really? Is your hearing is your hearing only bad when she's asking you to do things that you don't feel like doing? Is this really the root of your anger? Well, well, well, she'll have you think that, but I I think it's just I think my hearing is just a-ok. Okay. So, clearly you guys live together, don't you? Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. This I can tell this is not just a visiting argument. this a Yeah, I've been through more than one rodeo. I could tell I could tell this relationship. All right, but hey, man. But you guys get along well enough and that's what's important. I'm happy for you. Thank you for calling New Jersey 101.5. Yeah, I mean it's a small thing and it's like and it's like it's also the kind of stupid thing that god forbid if something bad happened like they would think about that and then they would like get choked up. Like if you suddenly saw like subtitles come on like it would just break them. You know what I mean? Like he hates them, but then yeah, it would just break him up. Oh, see I went the other direction with that. I would think that after a breakup it would be like and she always used the subtitles. No, I guess that really shows how different we are as people. I was like I'd be bitter and you were like Yeah. Really? I' Yeah. Yeah. I'd be sad. I'd be sad over the breakup. EJ on Route 80. You're on New Jersey. One of 1.5. Hi guys. You're either going to love this or you're going to hate this. All the men will love it. All the women, all the women are going to hate it. All right, lay it on. Okay, what do you got? It's Listen, wives should take continuing education course for how to speak and ask questions during the commercial breaks and not during the program. All right, I got married. Once I got married, now I'm not saying my wife especially, but I got married. I used them sparingly. Like if I slept in the semi, you know, cuz it's loud, I'd put some captioning on that like TV and whatever, right? But since I got married, they're on full time now because she won't stop talking during the show. No, no, it's not. Yeah, but she's got other things she's doing on her phone and then she's, "Oh, look at this. This is all like I'm like, um, okay, the commercial or can you do this, honey?" I says, "Okay, we're watching a movie." And then but then she'll ask me what he say. What did they just say? Oh. Oh, don't you hate that when they're the ones interrupting it. It's like you're interrupting yourself. Now I got to trans Brooklyn into Pencil. Okay. So, it's just one It's just one of those things that Yeah. Subtitles are on all the time. Now, I'm going to say you're, if we can generalize here, I'm going to say you're right about women talking and can wait for commercials, but I'm going to say that men are just as bad with cell phones or playing videos when it's like you can see I'm watching something. I'm over 60, so I'm not really playing games on cell phones. All right. I work too much. I want to come home, feed the cats, dogs, make something to eat, make my lunch, okay? Make her a little supper if she's hungry. And basically, once I get my shoes off, don't ask me to go outside. If I get my socks off, don't ask me to do anything. Don't tell me there's groceries in the car. Oh, babe, I forgot the the groceries in the car. And I look down and she looks down at my feet and she goes, "Oh, crap. You took your boots off already." "Oh, you got slippers. You got slippers over there." I was like, "Yeah, it doesn't count." Okay, EJ EJ, we're up against the news. I'm sorry to interrupt you, but I love I could watch a I could watch a whole movie about your end end of the day routine. This is like couples counseling. Two calls in a row. EJ, thank you for calling New Jersey 101.5. Take off those boots, baby. Is this a big coup's thing about the closed captioning? It must be, right? It must be. It's just like where to set the AC. Who's Who's like wanting the captions on versus who wants them off? 1 800 283101.5. 439 with Jeff and Kylie. We're talking about subtitles. When you're watching a movie or TV show, do you have them on? Does your significant other or your kids have them on? Does it bother you? Yeah. In your own household, if you don't live alone, are you a house divided? Right. Who has Right. Who has those subtitles on and who doesn't? And and Right. And and is that is that a controversy in your house? We already had a couple of calls like that. Uh, and if you do turn them on, um, if you feel like giving us your age, you can. If not, it's fine. But they say that the younger you are, the more likely you are to actually have them on, which is not what most people would have guessed. I have a theory on that, but I do want to get to call first. Yeah, let's talk to Jim first. Uh, 1 800 283101.5. Jim in East Brunswick. Hey, Jim. Hey, gang. Hey. I think I think there's always people that would be hearing impaired that it's helpful and which is why they're made. But really the reason that you're finding more people using closed caption is because in modern flat screen TVs the speakers are insignificant. You go back to the beginning of television, the 40s all the way through the 1980s, they were cabinets with speakers that were made to push out volume. And then in the 80s into the '9s, you have people hooked up to sound system for auxiliary speakers that also m modern television production, the audio is so much elaborate like a motion picture. Yes. that you you really need you really need to have larger speakers to get what they're making because when you've got it's like listening to it through an old transistor radio in the speakers in a modern flat screen te television. Good point. That is a plus, right? That is a very good point. And I'm somebody who does not have that whole, you know, extra sound system, the surround sound like, yeah, I never set that up. I never invested in it. So So there I am. You really get it. Wow. You really get it. You really get it when you have it set up uh through a a stereo system or or whatever and it really uh comes through. But I got to point out to you, Jeeoff, I've wanted to reach out in the last couple months and especially on the subject of television. Do you remember a couple months ago talking about a subject dealing with animals and you brought up a television series where uh animals would be staged to tear each other apart called Wild Kingdom? Yeah. Yes, I do. Jeeoff, I swear to God the weekend after you guys talked about that you brought that up, that series came back on me TV, it's on every Sunday morning. Oh my gosh. And you were abs Jeff, you're absolutely right. I had to DVR it. They they were so popular they ran two shows back to back. They now run six backto back from 6:00 a.m. to 9 on ME TV. And the first one I watched, you're absolutely right. They had to host um uh oh god, I forget his name. Maron Perkins. Bad. Yeah, we just said it at the same time. Marlon Perkins. We said it at the same time. So Jim Fowler, do you remember him on the Carson show? I do. I do. He was the regular on this. And that the first episode I was thinking of you here at 6:00 in the morning on a Sunday and they're demonstrating in a set that looked like a set that looked like an office where they had an alligator. They were trying to force it into a box in this office to ship it somewhere. It looked like the set where Walt Disney would show his office years ago. It was hilarious. You've got to DVR it and you'll be on the floor for breakfast. That is so funny. Yeah. And then and then they were probably going to roll cameras when they opened the box once it was shipped. They're like right in front of a gazelle. It's like, "Yeah, go get them. Get her." Yeah, exactly. Oh, Jim, that's funny. Thank you for calling New Jersey 101.5. All right, so we're talking about the way people watch TV. Are you a house divided, as Kylie put it? Do some of you in the home like having the subtitles on uh and and some don't? Do you find it a distraction or do you find it helpful? Uh they say that four out of 10 people that are under 45, four out of 10 are throwing on that subtitle, that closed caption. Uh so yeah, where do you stand on that? And why do you do it if you run them? 1800283 101.5. So how's your back doing? Is your knee flaring up? New Jersey 101.5. It is 452. We have Danny D. Cresenzo's news, who by the way is a proponent of close captions. Well, for him again, he's under 45, man. Apparently, it's all the rage. Uh, but yeah, we've got a Danny's news coming up in 8 minutes. And yeah, it is still $1,000 at work payday. We've got another code coming up at 20 minutes after the hour. So, that's coming up about 520. Make sure you're listening for that. Um, we're talking about this article that uh we saw and it's about just what we said. Uh, more people are using subtitles than ever before and the younger you are, the more likely you are to be using them. So, do you or is there an argument about it in your house? 1 800283101.5. Jim in Bergen County, you're on New Jersey 101.5. Uh, yes. Uh so we the previous channel one too about the sound. So we do have a you know a newer flat screen TV but we have a Sonos soundbar so it's not the sound but we like to use uh the subtitles and my kids my teenagers use them too and they watch TV separately from us. So, I don't know why they use them, but a lot of I my theory is a lot of the shows now you get are foreign shows. And even though they're dubbed, some of the better shows come out of Europe, Spain, England, and whether or not they're in English, you hear, you know, a European accent. Even though they're dubbed, it helps. It's It's a little bit more difficult to hear those shows, it helps to see the subtitles because of the accent. Yes. If you're watching some of these British series, you have a heavy British accent. and it helps with the subtitles. But then you have some others that come out of Spain or South America where they're actually originally done in Spanish or Portuguese, but they're dubbing them in English and that doesn't always match up. So, it helps with the subtitles there as well. But my kids use them. My kids are teenagers and they use them. I've never actually asked them why they use them. Uh, but that's the reason me and my wife use them. See, you bring up the English shows, Jim. Do you watch Ted Lasso at all? What? I'm sorry. What show? The show Ted Lasso. It's on Apple TV. No, no, I I do not. I know of it, though. Okay. So, not only does it take place in England, but all of the members of the soccer team, the football team over there, they're from different countries. So, so it's a bunch of different accents. We're working with like 12 different uh accents and episodes. So, I I need the I need the subtitles for Ted Lasso. Well, there you there you go. You confirm what why the reason we watch them. And then even, you know, um, you know, there's a couple good ones, a lot of good shows out of Spain now, which are dubbed in English, but it just doesn't match match up, uh, you know, the lips with the, uh, with the thing. So, the subtitles really help. Yeah. I find those I find the being out of sync, the audio and video to be more distracting than just subtitles. Yeah. So, I understand, Jim, thank you for calling New Jersey 101.5. I'm glad to hear you have sometimes an issue with accents because living in New Jersey, I mean, this is a true melting pot and I always feel so bad. I mean, I'm I like beyond TV. I'm saying like in real life, you know, just dealing with somebody. I always feel so bad when I can't understand somebody's accent. That's what happened. Um, I feel awful a few weeks ago when my old car broke down and the good Samaritan helped me. Yes. But he had such a thick accent that I had to be like, I am so sorry. I understand you are going so out of your way to help me. Right. What? Yeah. End of question. Yeah. And that and and I always do that. I tend to apologize and and I tell them part of it is my right ear has a hearing problem. Part of it is I'm bad with accents. I'm so sorry. I feel awful. I chalk it up to sorry. point to myself. Dumb American. Right. Dumb white. Dumb white American. I am sorry. All right. That's what that was the original premise for this show. We'll be back with two dumb whites after Danny's news on New Jersey 101.5 podcast. Why did you want to intern at service per the bet parks online casino and sportsbook app chime time is 511. It's the Daminsky and more show. I'm Kylie Moore and I'm Jeff Daminsky. Yeah, you could call in at 1800 283101.5. Oh, yes it is. Thank you for asking. Another $1,000 at work payday. And but when but when? Coming up in about 10 minutes, give or take. Uh roughly about 20 minutes after the hour. It's going to be the last one for today. So don't blow this. Uh that code will be read. You enter that on the New Jersey 101.5 app. You might just win a thousand bucks. And uh starts up again tomorrow morning with Bill Spadia in the 8 o'clock hour. All right. So this ridiculous thing, everybody everybody in the building is semi not not full on but semi a little bit little bit freaking out because Six Flags Great Adventure sent over and I guess it's to promote their Frightfest. Yes, because they do have a portion that is about the Conjuring. Oh, there you go. So, they sent over a replica Annabelle doll. Mhm. And they say it is uh Now, now if you don't know about the Annabelle doll, hold on. We we we've got the Annabelle doll. It's a replica right in studio with us. It is propped up right next to me. This is what the Yeah, I kept her over there. This Yeah, because people are freaking out about this doll. This is what it says on the packaging on the back. Annabelle uh a one one scale replica doll. So the actual Annabelle doll that many people believe is legitimately haunted is exactly that size. Okay. And the packaging says a psychic medium believed this doll to be inhabited by the spirit of a deceased young girl, Annabelle. Mhm. The last owners reached out to self-proclaimed paranormal investigators and demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren. You know those names from the Conjuring movies and from real life. And from real life. Well, yes. And from real life. Yes. Um but probably mostly from the Conjuring movies, but yes, they were real people. They claimed the doll was exhibiting malicious and frightening behavior. The Warren confirmed the strange event surrounding the devious doll, pronouncing it demonically possessed. The real life Ed and Lorraine Warren, they believe this. Or at least they say they believed it. Yeah, they say they believed it. Is that what you're going to point out? That they're con artists. Well, I was going to say, yeah, they say they believed it. The doll was meant to stay stored and locked away in the Warren's artifact room to prevent further incident. And so this replica doll is uh creepily sitting here and I've just been taunting it all day. Mhm. And um and apparently our co-workers have been taunting everyone else. Both Jill and Marissa said that people have just been like moving it around. Yeah. Uh, and I don't know why people are like, and I don't believe anybody in the building is 100% freaked out by it, but I feel like some people in the building are like maybe 40 50% slightly freaked out by it. I think people are just a little excited about it. Also, by the way, the reason that I don't know. The reason that Six Flags sent this is because they are going to have the Conjuring universe as part of Frightfest, and it's based on the iconic horror franchise. Nice. Enter the Warren's occult museum where their most terrifying cases await. Cool. Or you can enter the 1015 studios where the most terrifying case awaits. Yeah, exactly. But yeah, I was giving at the double jersey salute earlier. And well, let's see if we're still on the air in an hour. Hey, Annabelle, I saw you in a bar once. You were like a one at 700 p.m. By closing, you were like a two. I can't wait for her to suddenly fall on you. I would leave. No, he wouldn't. It would just be a coincidence. Uh, yeah. I mean, like, they try to make it look as creepy as possible, but like I don't know. Are you creeped out by that a little bit? I mean, she looks I wouldn't want to wake up to see that, but I'm fine with her in the room right now. And you know what's so funny? Can you intro fast traffic, honey? The front of it says, "Warning, positively, do not open." Because the real life Annabelle doll that Ed and Lorraine claim is demonically possessed, they kept it under lock and key because like whenever it did travel somewhere like something they claimed something happened recently. They Well, yeah, they Yeah. I can't remember what it was, but there was some I think it was a natural disaster or a fire or something like that. I think it was a fire. I'm trying to look it up. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. No, but you're right. But you're right. It was recently. So anyway, so the packaging it says warning positively do not open. But on the back of the packaging in much smaller print, it says when displaying remove this and remove that and remove the like, well, so the front says positively do not open and then the back is saying like what to remove from the doll when you use it as a Halloween decoration. It's like a come on. And by the way, before anyone calls Marissa, yes, this was back in May. There was a plantation fire. That's what it was. Yes. Was it in Louisiana? Yes. There you go. I remember Louisiana. Yeah. I couldn't remember the disaster, but yeah, there was something that that went on when the actual doll was there. So, anyway, this is propped up. It's like 3 ft away from me. And what whatsing good movie. I still like the Insidious movies better. Oh, really? I liked the Conjuring better. Oh, I like the Insidious movies better. I thought the Insidious was uh I only saw the first one, I'll be honest. And this was when it came out. So, this was 2011. So, this was 2011, Kylie's opinion. Mhm. I thought it was just like uh I would rather just watch Poltergeist. Really? Oh, I thought it was creepy. They're They had great jump scares. I will give them that. Now, wait. I'm thinking of the right one, aren't I? Wasn't that where the kid Okay. In the movie Insidious, it was the kid that was haunted and the kid, right, and the kid ends up in the place that they call the further, which is why I felt like I was just watching new Poltergeist. No, no, it was different. It was so Oh, it was so much scarier. I would give it a rewatch. I'll be honest. I think it was so much better of a movie than Poltergeist. Poltergeist did not even scare me. But Insidious, I thought that was pretty well done. Yeah. Yeah. And they and both Insidious and Conjuring have Patrick Wilson, so I get them confused a lot. Who is uh known for being from New Jersey. Jersey boy. Yeah. Yeah, he is. All right. So, you think that's better? What do you think the best horror movie was? I mean, you know what? You know, I mean, it's going to be it's going to be October. It's going to be spooky season any day. We're gonna ask you, too. Best horror movie. What are some of your favorite horror movies? 1800283101.5. But what do you think is a really great one? Well, I have I have my controversial one and I have my one that I think is uh a standard. But do we want to get to traffic first? I'll say after. Let's do it. Let's do it. Let Yeah, let's do traffic first. I mean, cuz you know you're going to be wrong. Uh I mean, if you say anything other than Night of the Living Dead, then I'm sorry. You're just wrong. Oh, boy. We're going to have to let that one sink in. What do you think is the best horror movie of all time? 1800 283101.518. Here's Fast Traffic. 524 with Jeff Damky and Kylie Moore. I'm staring at the uh the Annabel doll from The Conjuring which has made its way into the studio. And by the way, somebody I just in case others are thinking it, it's the replica of the movie doll, not of the actual Raggedy and doll that Ed and Lorraine Warren claim was demonically possessed. Somebody was like trying to correct that on the uh on the app chat. If I if I made it sound otherwise, I apologize. But right, the original thing was like this raggedy. I mean I mean look, no doll is possessed. Okay, there's no possession going on that we know of. Yeah, whatever. But again, uh this is a totally Jersey thing because Patrick Wilson, he's has been called, by the way, the scream king instead of the scream queen. I can get behind that. Who else would I label that? Yeah, because he has been in like some of the biggest franchises. Conjuring as well as Insidious and um the Phantom of the Opera. Oh, was he? He was Raul. Oh, okay. There you go. Uh but then also the other because he's from, you know, he's a Jersey guy. At least he he has lived here. And um and then the other Jersey connection is this was sent over to the station by Six Flags. Great adventure. Shout out. Yeah. Promoting, you know, part of their Frightfest thing. So anyway, yeah, we uh we bit we bit. Hook, line, sinker. You got us. Six lags. We want to know what is uh what is one of your favorite horror movies and why? 1 800283101.5. Okay, so the one that I said would be controversial of my picks. I know you're going to argue it, but I would say it is a horror movie. Oh, here we go. I'll just You know what? It kept people out of the water. Why, Jeff? Because they were scared. They were horrified. And what kind of movie does that to you? A horror movie. Yeah. And you know what? Um Fatal Instinct probably kept some people out of having an affair. Didn't make it a horror movie. That's that's like moral reasons, not just you might be killed. Yeah, whatever. There was death in that movie, too. You have to rest in power the bunny, you know. You know my Well, no, not just her. Not Not just the bunny, but Glenn Close. I know, but that was the funnier one to go with. I don't think she should rest in peace. Um, yeah, you know my feelings about that, but yeah. Yeah. Notwithstanding, I will recuse myself from that, but um All right, so that's one of them. But what is another horror movie that you love? My non-controversial what I think is one of the scariest movies of all time, The Exorcist. I think it holds up. Maybe not the special effects. I understand that the head turning around looks like a Barbie doll. Mhm. Like I'll say it. Yeah. Like a papermâché thing or something. I think the I think it's just a genuinely great movie. The acting is so good from both um not Veronica Cartrite. She does the uh the spoof of it in Scary Movie 2. Why can't I think of the actress? The actress who plays the mom. It doesn't matter. Oh god, I can't think of it either. Um uh yeah, people are screaming at us right now. I'm looking it up on IMDb. But her and Yeah, don't call Marissa for that. We can look it up. Don't worry. her and Linda Blair who plays Reagan. The priests are incredible. Like every there's no there's no dud in that. Yeah, there's no miscasting in that movie. I love Ellen Bur. Ellen Buren. There it is. Oh, that was really going to bother me. Yeah, I know. I mean, like I could picture her, but I couldn't come up with a name either. Yeah, Ellen Buren. But no, that movie scared the you know what out of me the first time I saw it. Um I was maybe 12. Yeah. And I watched the director's cut, so it had the scene where Reagan spiderw walks down the stairs with like the blood coming out of her mouth. And the next day, I had to babysit a a kid. And I just remember not watching the kid, but watching the stairs being like, "There's going to be a possessed girl coming down those stairs anytime. I got to be prepared for it." Right. That's what a babysitter needs to unblinking just staring at the stairs. Right. Right. What? Yeah, I had a uh I had I was a I was a little kid when I saw that movie. I think I was like single digit in age. Um which I know like like I shouldn't have seen The Exorcist, but parents were crazy back then, so they took me to see The Exorcist. I mean, I was 12. That's not much better. Yeah, but I mean I may have been eight. I don't know. And yeah, this was like cuz I'm older. This is like first run. and my bedroom. You had to walk through my brother's room and then go through another door into my room and then you had to cross into the center of the room with a chain pull light in the center of the room. That's how you turn the light on. And when I got home from that theater, I walked through my brother's dark room and I'm freaking out. I'm thinking about that movie so much. And then I walk through the door and I walk into my room and I get to the halfway point and I reach up for the chain pull light and I pull it. And it happened to be that night right after seeing The Exorcist that the light bulb blew out. Nope. Bye. You You know how there's like that Well, I don't know if you remember, but there's there's like the old fashioned light bulbs. There's like that big flash and then it just like plummets. You went into even more darkness. Mhm. That's what happened right after getting home from seeing The Exorcist. Not cool, man. All right. So, what what's one of your favorite horror movies? Let's talk to Frank in Middle Sex. You're in New Jersey. 101.5. Hello. The favorite one for me was it was called The Howling and it came out in the mid 80s and it hasn't been played too much. But was it a werewolf movie? Yeah. Yes. Okay. I think I saw this but I can't remember much. Oh, you will remember when I tell you the end of it. Oh, wait. No spoilers. Oh, please. It was 40 years ago. Yes. From 1981. Okay. Go ahead, Frank. It's fine. Hey. Hey. So, these people go on this island and they're chased around by werewolves. Okay, so it ends. This is the ending. Um Fay Donaway is um TV news anchor reporter and the movie's about her telling about the um reporting the an incident that happened to him and she gets up and puts her hands palms down on the ta on the desk and says if you don't believe me and then she starts howling and she turns into a werewolf. What a great ending. Wow. No, that's that's a great ending. Frank, thank you for calling New Jersey one a 1.5. All right, so we have an Annabelle doll sitting next to us, a replica doll from the movie The Conjuring. And uh hey, it's almost spooky season. Anyway, what are some of your favorite horror films? 1800283 101.5. Finding great candidates to hire. New Jersey 101.5. Not quite October yet, but it's not every day that great adventure to promote their Six Flags. Wait, no, I mean to promote their Fright. You could have just kept going. Six Flags, Frightfest. Yeah, I know. I should have I should have to promote their Frightfest sends over a replica Annabelle doll from the movie The Conjuring. It is uh Yeah, it's a one:1 ratio. It's like basically the real size as was in the movie. Uh, it's creepy looking. A lot of people here. I I've got it propped up. Well, actually, Kylie propped it up. Uh, in the chair right next to me, there's uh this goofball warning on the packaging. Warning, positively. Do not open. You will You will kick open a portal to hell. Oh no. Our cleaning woman is here. I don't know how we're going to explain this to her. I I say we uh just don't say anything. Let her figure it out. Hey, Sonia, here's our new coworker. Yeah. Yeah. Really? It's like, so our guest today is uh Annabelle. Annabelle, you seem a little stiff. I mean, you know, you could loosen up. Just uh you know, like just jump in and talk whenever you want to. I mean, we can see that you're happy to be here. You're smiling wideeyed. You're paying attention. But so with with this doll sent to the radio station, we're just having some fun with it with Halloween coming up in about a month. Uh we're just talking about horror movies. What is one of your favorite horror movies? 1800 283 101.5. Steve in South Planefield, you're on New Jersey 101.5. Hey, how you doing? Uh, I I gotta say that The Evil Deads were uh probably some of my favorites, but uh you know, if there's something that like really sticks with me today, I still jump away from the bed in the dark because I'm afraid Chuck is going to like cut my Achilles tendon like when I get out of bed. There is something to be said about like you stay away from the bottom of the bed. You don't let the hand stay out like over the bed. Someone's going to cut you. I do want to get back to the Evil Dead, but let's go down this first. But wait, but wasn't there also didn't they do that same thing in if you ever saw Pet Cemetery? I think didn't Oh, yeah. Didn't Gage the little boy uh that came back from the dead, didn't he also cut someone's Achilles tendon like from underneath the bed? I want to say I think it happens in urban legend in a parking lot. What? What's that? He said if memory serves, he thinks that it happened. I said I think it also happens in Urban Legend but with in a parking lot. Oh, in a Urban Legend. Okay. That I never saw. I never saw Urban Legend. And I think Paris Hilton gets it in House of Wax. Oh, that was She also gets it through the head. Spoiler alerts for 2005's House of Wax. Yeah. Made her smarter though. But you know what? I' I'd rather I'd rather feel silly than be wrong when like something's under the bed. You know what I mean? Well, that's an excellent point. You know this is true, right? You're not going to go wrong by being a little overly cautious and paranoid. Yeah. No, no harm is going to come to you. No, the Achilles tendon, that's a that's a big old fear of mine. I mean I mean somebody like in real life, somebody could do that. Some psycho could have broken in, spent hours hiding under the bed just waiting for that moment to slice open your Achilles. I mean, it could happen. Oh, yeah. Real quick with Evil Dead though, Steve, did you ever see the remake in I want to say like 2011, maybe 2010? Oh, yeah. Yeah, I saw that in theaters. I I thought it was pretty good. I I especially appreciated the uh what was it like 50,000 gallons of fake blood they used for the the raining blood scene. I thought for the reboots that were happening in the 2000s, I thought that was one of the better ones. I agree. Yeah. No, I like that one. Maybe that's a rewatch. Steve, thank you for calling New Jersey 101.5. Let's go to Nick in South Orange. Hey Nick, what's going on? Hey guys, how's it going? Hey, we're good. How are you doing? I'm doing all right. Doing all right. I wanted to call to let you know uh I don't know if you ever heard of it. It's called Hell House LLC. Nick, I've been desperate to talk to someone else about this movie. I never heard of this. Is this like a a sleeper? Is it a sleeper? Kind of. My sister and I love this, Nick. Uh, as best as you could describe it to Jeff, what's it about? I would say it's basically a haunted house gone wrong. Like real wrong. And you mean like an attraction type haunted house? So, it's friends putting together a haunted house, but then it turns out maybe it actually is haunted. And something goes wrong and it's found footage. So, it's like them putting together and you slowly see that something's a foot about the venue that they chose, right? It's not amazing. It is worth your time. It's like what, 90 minutes, Nick? I believe so. Yes, there's a there's a couple of them now. I think they're coming out with a new one this this October, I believe. Oh, I'm about to FaceTime my sister during the break. I am so excited if that's true. Yeah, I think it's on Prime. At least that's where we watched it. Yeah. But no, in terms of found footage, I'd say it's one of the better ones. And it definitely I agree. And Nick, it meets with uh it meets with Kylie's criterion for watching a movie. if it's only 90 minutes, she'll watch anything. No, seriously, she has said that. Like, yeah, I'm not even busting her. She has said that. She's like, "Hey, I I can devote 90 minutes to anything, no matter how bad or good it is." And if you want to get in on the bit, Nick, my sister and I refer to this uh as hell house ll cool J. Nice. It's a joke for almost no one, but now it's for Nick also. There you go. Nick, thanks for calling New Jersey 101.5. Frank in South Brunswick. You're on New Jersey 101 1.5. Welcome. Hi guys. How you doing? We're good. How are you doing? So, I'm doing pretty good. So, I have two movies. Um, and one I think is might be based on real life. It was called The Entity. The Entity. The Entity. It is. And I believe it's supposed to be based on something that was that really happened. You got to look it up. And then the the second one is Silent Hill. Yes. That was what mid 2000s. Yes. Yes. That was scary. Yeah. I was having kids then. Yeah. I didn't That was even scarier. Yeah. I didn't get to go to a movie theater for years. And a girl walking through snow. Oh, absolutely. Way scarier. Yeah. I didn't have any fun. But the but the entity is based on supposed to be based on real real facts. Okay, I'm trying to look this up. This is 1982. Am I in the right one? I think so. A woman is tormented by an invisible being about a woman that was uh uh Wait a minute. Is that the one where she's getting sexually assaulted by a ghost? Yes. Yes. Oh, wasn't that a book first? I think I I think I read a book or was it one of those weird things that the book was written after the movie? Yeah, but I heard there was supposed to be real real events that had happened and then I know they say that, but I don't know if I believe it. I don't know. I don't know. There's weird things that has has happened. So, you notice it never happens to a guy. It's like you never get some hot female ghost that just like ravages you in the middle of the night. Wait, cuz like no guy is going to complain about that. They'll just be like, "Giddy up." Isn't that part of Ghostbusters? I don't know. Is it? Am I remembering that wrong? I don't know. I don't remember. I don't remember it happening. No one quote me on that. I'm going to look that up and then have like a weird search algorithm. Frank knows what I'm saying. Frank, thank you for calling New Jersey 101.5. All right, we're talk we're talking Boy off the rails. We're talking about horror movies. What is one of your favorite horror movies? Because sitting in our studio as we speak and she's now staring. Oh. Oh, she's turning. Yeah, she's turning towards you. No, I turned her. She propped up in a chair. is a replica Annabelle doll from uh the doll in the Conjuring. The Annabelle doll in the Conjuring and uh Six Flags Great Adventures sent it over as a promotion for their Frightfest or as a threat. Or as a threat, right? Yeah. We're never sure what they're doing there. All right. So, what's a favorite horror movie? 1800 283101.5. Candidates to hire can be like, well, it is 552 with Jeff Deinsky and Kylie Moore. We're talking about the best horror movies because we're staring at the a replication of the Annabelle doll from the movie The Conjuring. It was sent to us from Six Flags Great Adventure in preparation for Frightfest where they're going to have a Conjuring universe. You can explore the hauntings of the Warren. Hey, Great Adventure. Send me a 6-foot replica of the first zombie in the 68 horror film Night of the Living Dead that kills her uh brother. Yeah, send me that. That's what I want. I'll just take some cotton candy. That what that that is the best horror movie you ever made. Night of the Living Dead. Like a warm pretzel. Whatever you want to send to us, you know, warm brains. Michelle in Springfield. What do you think is the best horror movie? Hi there. Um, so I think Halloween, the original, um, Old School, is by far one of the scariest movies and I love horror films, but something about that, just the music, the storyline, uh, the one with Jamie Lee Curtis, the suspense, Michael Myers walks very slow, but he always manages to get everybody and his mask. It's just something about it. And it's, like I said, it's an old school horror film, but it creeps me out every time I watch it. I could watch it over and over again. The theme, I think, is the scariest, coolest horror movie theme ever made. I really do. Yeah. Mhm. See, for me, oh, we have it. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And I don't even remember music. Yeah. I don't even remember if there's music playing during this scene. I think it's silent, but I'm not positive. It's when someone just like looks out the window and he's not Michael Myers is not like right at the window. He's not even in the yard. He's just across the street and I think to the left just staring into the window. Mhm. And it's so subtle, but it's so creepy. That's the shot that really I think that's the scariest part of the movie is that single shot. Michelle, do you remember do you remember when Dr. Lumis is going to the um psych hospital? Yes. Yep. and and uh something happened and all the patients are walking the grounds. Mhm. Yes. Very And they look like zombies the way they're slowly moving because they're probably all drugged up and doped up, right? And I think the only light is the headlights. I think so. It is creepy. Oh, that's a that's a classic, Michelle, as you put it. Thank you for calling New Jersey 101.5. Real quick, we can squeeze in Steven Manahawk.in. Hey, Steve. We have about half a minute. All righty. Hey, listen. My I actually have three favorite horror movies. One being at the top of the very list is the Saw Trilogies. The second would be the Truckucky movies and the third would be the Insidious movies. Ooh. Great. Not all franchises that I love, but I will say all classic now franchises. And you know what I like? They're all very different from each other. Yeah. When she said saw, I thought you were going to go hostile or something. Yeah, but he went Chucky, then he went insidious. That's kind of a cool uh eclectic uh the series, not the personality. I realized how that sounded. Yeah, you said saw that he was going to get aggressive. Yeah. No, those are great franchises. Steve, thank you for calling New Jersey a 1.5. We're going to have Danny's news in 5 minutes. Stay with us. Jeff Deinsky, you know, at PJ Fitzpat, the park's casino chime time. It is 6:11. It resumes tomorrow morning with Bill Spadia in the 8:00 hour. You got to listen for that code and uh could be worth a thousand bucks to you. Enter as often as you hear a code. It changes every hour and all the details on nj1015.com. So, uh, this is one of the crazier wedding disasters that I've heard of. Uh, but it's a true story. And before I even read this, I want to ask, have you ever been at a wedding that had one? Whether it was your own wedding or you were a guest or even just you worked a wedding, you know? Oh, wedding planners. They've got to, they've seen it all. Well, even servers, bartenders, DJs that work them because, right, I mean, they they've been at so many weddings, the odds of them seeing a wedding fail just goes up exponentially, you know. So, yeah. Um, any uh anyone who's witnessed some sort of wedding fail and uh and it's not to make fun of anybody. It's that I mean, it's a damn shame. We talked not that long ago, a couple weeks ago, about the the crazy price of a New Jersey wedding and you put tens of thousands of dollars into something and then for something to go wrong, it's just I mean, it's awful. It's awful. Well, in this case, everybody got trapped at a wedding reception because if they went out to the parking lot, they could have been electrocuted. What? Here, let me explain. They say, now this is from uh Lehigh Valley.com, and um they say that at this uh at this wedding recently, there was a power outage. Um this pole snapped about halfway up and it and it dropped this transformer and live wires came down onto this wet parking lot. Oh god. outside of uh Paris Caterers and this is a wedding venue in Berlin in Camden County. So there is a wedding reception going on. Um this happens at least luckily it was somewhat towards the end because it was it was scheduled from 3:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. and this happened around like the 7:00 hour. still sometimes like that's like the most fun part of a wedding is like the last hour and a half and that's when everybody's getting really loose and dancing and all of a sudden no power, everything goes dark and then they find out on top of it they're not even allowed to leave. And the reason is the parking lot is wet. And with a wet parking lot and the live wires that came down on it, the authorities were very concerned that the whole parking lot was basically electrified. And that if they walked out there that they could end up getting juiced and killed. And so everybody was told by the authorities, "Do not leave this place." And they were stuck there for hours. They couldn't leave. even if they wanted to. Can you keep the bar open? Right. Right. Oh, yeah. They better have. And now the only good news was um that the DJ that was working the thing, he ended up having a backup system. So, he was able to keep playing music, but only some of the LED lights operated on battery power. Wow. Not all heroes wear capes. Good for him. But it's but it's mostly dark, right? So, there's still music, but still mostly dark. The air conditioning went out. All the main power went out. Uh, but at least the ceremony, the cocktails, the toasts, all that that had been completed before it all happened. But yeah, what a screwed up thing. It's like, well, we would leave, but we might get electrocuted if we walk out there. So, we're being to And they say that they had to stay there. It was not deemed safe until almost 11:00 at night. It was going to end at 8:30. Happened about 7. So for so for more more than three and a half hours, they were pinned down and could not walk out of the venue by order of the authorities. That that is that is a wedding fail. And I'm not making fun of him. I feel bad for him. But it just sucks, man. All that money. Well, and it was apparently nobody's fault. There's there's so much at play here. All that money, all the people who were expecting to go home, the people who had babysitters, maybe. Yeah. Oh, a lot of calls being made, a lot of texts being sent. Oh, you can bet. Yep. Yep. Yep. Now, I hope they I just hope that they made the best of it. Now, things that can go wrong at a wedding. I mean, it could be little things like the cake falling apart. It could be big things like, and these are sad, of course, but these things sadly happen. Uh, father of the bride. Yeah. Checks out right in the middle of the uh, dance floor. Massive heart attack. It's happened. Things happen. People have like, you know, had to be rushed to the hospital in the middle of uh, the cake cutting at a wedding. Things happen. I was at a wedding where it wasn't the wedding I was at, but the wedding like next door. So, we shared a hallway. Someone passed out for some reason. So there was just a group of people crowding her as I was walking to the bathroom looking like there's nothing I can do about this. But still it's like you guys see that woman passed out outside. Did you see uh was an ambulance showing up or don't you even know you weren't there long enough to find out? I went back into the room because I was like if something bad happens I don't want to see it. There's nothing I could do to help. She's surrounded by at least 12 people. Right. And the worst thing is then like strangers gawking. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. because then it just looks selfish. I didn't hear that anyone died, so I hope they're okay. Right. Right. Or you have the drunks who get into fights at a wedding reception. I mean, this could be anything, but who has a story about a wedding disaster? What happened? 1 800283101.5. Again, it doesn't have to be your own. You could have been an invited guest. You could have been working at a wedding when something went wrong. But from big to small, what went wrong at a wedding? We want to hear your wedding fail stories. 1-800283101.5. Real quick, this is a very fast story. The the same wedding, actually, this was my cousin's wedding. My other cousin, our younger cousin, was one of the groomsmen, and he was m he was 18 at the time. Mhm. And he was trying to cut his bread and was stupidly cutting the knife towards his hand and just sliced his palm open. Oh no. And this is like I think during a speech, but he's like looking up. I'm looking at his bloody hand and I I look at him. I just go go like do anything, right? So he, my ex and I had to like try to not be obvious leaving the floor because we had to cross the person who was giving the speech to get to the exit to try to find the bathroom. Oh, blood is squirting out onto the dance floor. Oh, like just desperately trying to not get it on his groomsman vest. Like, oh my gosh, we made an investment on this. It was fine. We found we eventually found I think band-aids in the lobby. Oh, so okay. I thought this was going to end up like that. He had to leave and get stitches, but it wasn't that bad. No, it was just very stupid. Like we definitely like people definitely were like, "Why is one of the groomsmen and two other people who we don't know leaving in the middle of this speech frantically?" Yeah, good reason though. Screaming go. Yeah, good reason. Good reason. All right, so what little or big things went wrong at a wedding that you were at or that you worked? 1 800283 101.5 619. Here's fast traffic with your next vehicle from All American New Jersey 101.5. Yeah, this happened in Camden County. There was a wedding venue and uh pole came down, a transformer was blowing up and live wires were touching a wet parking lot and everybody was trapped inside. None of None of the guests could leave. Like they were literally told by first responders, "Do not step out in the parking lot. You could get electrocuted. Nothing is worth your life." Right? So, everybody had to stay there for hours and hours, but there was like uh there was only like very dim lighting. The music kept going, but there was no air conditioning. All that stuff stopped. That's got to be like the most haunting rendition of We Are Family anyone's ever heard. like just like the party music playing and everyone just like don't go outside. Yeah. Really? It's like Marilyn Manson doing We Are Family. Very dark. But um things can go wrong at a wedding and it's a shame because they're so expensive now, especially in New Jersey. But what things what wedding disasters have you witnessed, whether you're working a venue, whether you were a guest, 1 800 283101.5. Brenda in Clinton, you're on New Jersey 101.5. Hi. I have a funny story that happened at a wedding. Sure. It was in San Antonio. It was one of my friends getting married and it was a very formal wedding. Everyone was in long gowns and after the re or the the wedding was done, everyone got out into the reception hall at the church and there was a baptismal pool and it was at the same level as the floor. So, you actually had to step down to get into it. And of course, there was railing around the one side of it so that no one would ever fall in. But there was a woman standing on the other side talking to someone else. And you know what's going to happen, right? She takes one step backwards and falls into the pool. And it and it was one of the ones where it was like you like this couldn't get any worse. She's already like in up to her ankles and then she does the whoa and falls backwards to the next step. like she's in the opening scene of a romcom. She literally was in over her head by the time it was done. I was laughing so hard. I am not proud of myself. I had to run out of the church. No, wait. No, wait. No, this is important. This is important. So, so you know you shouldn't, but you couldn't help it. You start laughing. Are you the only one laughing or are others are Okay, that's good. But that's good for you that you were not the only one laughing. This is true. I was with my group of friends and I will say three of us ran outside laughing hysterically. My one friend ran over to her to try and help. We were It was the funniest thing I ever saw if it was on America's home videos, funny videos. Right. It was Right. Right. It was like that kind of situation. Church laughs are the best laughs. But she was not um she was not part of the wedding party though. Hopefully. No, she was the next door neighbor to the groom, right? She was not part of the wedding party. She showed up to the reception about an hour and a half later in a different dress and and redone. I I was going to ask about the hair and makeup because that's the part that gets me. Had to be redone. Oh, what a nightmare. That's Yeah. Oh, man. Brenda, great story. Thank you for calling New Jersey 101.5. Hey, what are you gonna do? Do you know what I mean though about how church laughs are the best laughs? Where you're in a really where you're in a situation where you're not supposed to be laughing? Oh, in that way because Right. And then and then it just makes you want to laugh even more heartily because you're not supposed to laugh even to begin with. Like I like let's say an office meeting, let's say some sort of performance where you're supposed to be quiet, let's say church, and you just you have to hold it in. But then like you seeing the other person next to you shaking their shoulders, that makes you laugh even harder. And then it just escalates. And when that damn bursts, it's done. Yes, you're done. Yep. Absolutely. I hear you. All right, we're talking about things that have gone wrong at weddings. Uh tell us a wedding fail story if you have one. 1 800 283101.5. Susan in Middle Sex. What have you witnessed? Or was it your own wedding? Hi, this is Susan. I'm from Middle Sex. Um 33 and a half years ago on our wedding day um we um were we had a big wedding party and we were transporting about 25 of us on a trolley um from a church in Maplewood to the Bridgewater Manor and the trolley broke down. Oh. Oh. Oh. What time what time of year was it? Like was it hot out? Was it cold out? It was it was April of 1992. Um, so it was it was a kind of a dismal gloomy day. It had rained in the morning. It was kind of overcast and um it was a little chilly, little nippy, but fortunately, well, we laughed about it. It's a story for the books and the the the venue um handled it with grace. We missed most of the cocktail hour, which kind of sucks, but we Oh, sorry. I didn't mean to say that. So, it's the whole It's the whole wedding area. I'm assuming it's a whole wedding party on the trolley. Um Oh, I'm sorry. I can't No, no, no. It's okay. I know you weren't here. I was asking. So, it was it was just like the entire wedding party that was on this trial. It was like 25 people. It was Yes. It was like my parents, my husband's parents, the soloist, um 16 in the wedding party. It was like 25 people. Um, so we we we broke down in a residential area because we had a stop to make and uh pe uh someone that we actually knew, which was kind of crazy, came out and this was way before cell phones, but they just my dad we just started calling. They called cabs and we got that's how you got I was going to ask how you finally got there. Oh man, that's amazing though that they were able to come through for you like that. Yeah, that's incredible. Yeah, Susan, thank you for calling New Jersey 101.5. Hey man, marriage is about the uh tough reality of life, too. It's not just the one night party. So, there's a little taste of it right on the very first day. Right. No kidding. They did it on hard mode. Exact. Exactly. Exactly my point. All right. So, we're talking about a wedding fails, big or small. Um, you know, I mean, I've never been to this, but you ever been to a wedding where like a fight broke out and there's like people screaming at each other or worse, cops have to be called? I mean, you hear about that kind of thing, turns into like a Jersey Shore episode or a Desperate Housewives episode, uh, where somebody, you know, unfortunately gets sick on the dance floor, has a heart attack, has to go out in a gurnie, things like that. Those are the big ones. Or, you know, the cake fell over. 1 800283 101.5. How many times does a furnace turn up? 639 with Jeff and Kylie. talking about this wedding debacle where Yeah, it was at uh Paris Caterers in Berlin, New Jersey, which is in Camden County, and uh a power pole fell. Uh long story short, live wires came down on a wet parking lot and uh the guests were not allowed to leave. The fire marshall uh Marshall Pom Terry came in and said, "Now you can't leave." There we go. And so anyway, I hadn't even thought of that line. How did we get 39 minutes into this hour and I hadn't even quoted that? No, you just can't leave. We're So, we're talking about wedding failures, big or small. 1 800 283 101.5. Hey, quick aside. You nailed that. Shut up. Good. Shel in Heightstown, you're on New Jersey 101.5. Didn't Hey, Shel. Hi. Hi. Hey. How you doing? We're good. Shel, so was this your wedding or a wedding that you were attending? There were two different weddings I attended. The first one was my cousin's wedding and um I have at that time my kids were rather young. My son was about 13, my daughter was like nine. Anyhow, we're there and we're it's the beginning of the wedding and we're sitting there eating. My son goes under the table and falls asleep. You know, it's like wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute. How old did I thought you said he was 13? Yeah, he was 13. Okay. It was that exciting. Okay. Now, go back. Go forward about six years. His friend gets married. Sure enough. Same thing. Falls asleep under the table. We don't know why or how, but this kid falls asleep under the table at a fierce. We have another Does he fall asleep and then slide under or does he like first get under, make a little cozy nest, curl up, and then go to sleep? that curled crawled under the table, went to sleep. This is like Does it bother people? Yeah. No, it's just that this Let me put it this way. My son was always able to fall asleep everywhere, but this was specifically hysterical. Was like, really? I've never heard of such a thing. I mean, I fell asleep at my aunt's wedding, but I was six, if that. Right. Right. Right. And you pro and you probably also stayed in the chair, right? Or were you under the table as well? Uh, I sit in the chair. I actually have a very cute picture of this. Yeah. I mean, it's hysterical. It was like, you did it again. This is hysterical. And you said this was six years later after. So, he was 19 doing this. Yeah. He was 19, fell asleep under the table again. I wonder if he I wonder if he has like narcolepsy or something. Yeah. Did he do this at like sporting events? I have seen I have seen everything. I am a florist. But this was this took the cake. This was amazing. That's funny. Wow. That's a That's a good one. Shel, thank you for calling New Jersey 101.5. And sent I sent you the picture, by the way, of me asleep at my aunt's wedding. How old I mean, this has to be this has to go way back. This was 96 97. Oh, so I was young. I was like five. A Is that your dad? Yeah. Oh my god. With his little porn star mustache. Oh my You can't say that about your dad, but it does look like a 1970s porn star mustache. It does. Ah, that is an adorable photo though. Thank you. A that is like one of the best dadaughter photos I've seen. I'm sure everyone else was enjoying the wedding, but my dad had to uh hold me. Yeah, but he's Yeah, but he's got such a peaceful look on his face. I'm sure it was for the camera. Sure. Every time any other time he was just like sipping his drink. All right, we're talking about wedding disasters, big or small. 1800283101.5. Randy in North Brunswick, you're on New Jersey. 101.5. Hello. Hey, Randy. Hey, Randy. What's going on? Hi. Uh, not much. So, this happened 27 28 years ago. I DJ country weddinged wedding. And this was the very first wedding I ever worked at during cocktail hour before the bride and groom even arrived. The groom's uncle had a heart attack on the floor of that. He died. He died. Oh my god. Oh no. Um, where do we go from here? Um, how do how did you even approach this? Yeah. I mean, like, do you confer with somebody from the venue about what to do? Like, who decided what to do and what to say? Well, when the bride and groom finally arrived, you know, they they had taken the uncle to the hospital. They didn't tell anybody he had he had died at that point, right? So, then um they told us just play music, soft music, and they were going to feed cutcake, give them cake and coffee. They weren't even going to serve the meal and send everybody on their way. Groom's uncle. Yeah. Oh, so it was basically like an abbreviated version of the reception. They kind of altered it because of the serious nature. But then the bride's family started coming up and asking us to play music and they wanted to dance. So I guess you did, right? Or no? No. Well, no. We were just play No, we said no. We can't play dance music. It's, you know, this is what just happened and this is what the bride and groom want. So, yeah. If it's what the bride and groom mellow music Oh, I thought you said Oh, it was just the bride's family. I thought you said the bride and her family. So, but Okay. No, no, it was the groom, the bride's family came up and kept right. No. And then every song we played because again it was a country wedding, you know, country music. We had to think of every word in every song before we could even play anything. Right. Right. So, so every other gig after that had to have been easier, right, Randy? Yeah. Or did you kill any more people at any at any future gigs? No. No more. No more. You just have And it was And actually about a week after the wedding, we saw the bride. She had come out dancing and she told us that um right before he died, somebody had taken his picture and he had a big smile on his face. So, they were, you know, they said, "At least he went peaceful." That like legitimately gave me goosebumps to have the last picture like that. Gosh. Wow, Randy, thank you for sharing and I'm glad everything after that was smooth sailing. Thank you for calling New Jersey 101.5. All right, if you have any others, uh we're talking about uh things that went wrong at weddings. Um big or small, 1 800 283101 Dave, you can't just uh we got to tell people about the Bad Bunny reaction in just a second before we get out of here. But real quick, just a footnote. We were talking about uh wedding fails. at my brother's wedding. I will never forget the highlight of the wedding reception just as the dinner starts and you know so it gets quiet, the music is very low and soft and and my mom started choking on food and my mom had to be mommy. Yeah. My mom had to be heimlicked at like full-on Heimlick maneuver at my brother's wedding reception. It wasn't your brother doing it, was it? No, it was my stepfather doing it and he is so he does not like to draw attention to himself. He's kind of shy and like he gave it a few extra seconds because he was hoping it would clear that he wouldn't have to he lick her because he didn't want to make a big scene and stand up. So he's just sitting there staring at her. He's kind of just staring at her and he finally realizes she's really going to choke. Fine. And he pushes That's what he did. He pushes the chair back and he goes, you could hear it. It was audible across the whole thing. He goes, "Okay, out loud thought." And he gets up and he gets her out of the chair and everybody's just like, "Oh my god." And he bends her and he himlicks her and they have these beautiful centerpieces, you know, from the florist, right? And this big wad of chicken just takes out the centerpiece, right? I mean, it was like it was like one of those target games at at the seaside boardwalk, man. Pachoom. Hey, you win a big one. Yeah. All right. So, Bad Bunny. Bad Bunny has been announced as the Super Bowl halftime performer. Not Taylor Swift, but Bad Bunny. And there are conservatives who are freaking out about it. Oh, he speaks Spanish. And that's that makes me uncomfortable. Uh well, he's also not a fan of the ICE raids and things like this. And uh some of what's being said, let's see, there is a Benny Johnson. He's a right-wing podcaster. He is slamming the NFL decision. He wrote uh on X. This is Bad Bunny. He was just announced as a 2026 Super Bowl halftime show. Uh he is a massive Trump hater, an anti-ICE activist, and does not have songs in English. So, he is not a fan. And then there is a uh Robbie Starbuck, also a conservative, a social media activist. He says about Bad Bunny being the halftime show. This is not a pick designed to unite football fans or let people just enjoy the show. It was a pick designed to divide fans. And no doubt Bad Bunny will find some way to push a woke message. Is it that hard to pick a unifying music act who doesn't want to pedal woke propaganda? Does this guy really scream American football to anyone? So yeah, the uh there's no one that would have united everyone. Get over yourselves. Bad Bunny's going to be perfectly fine, right? Who the hell is going to unite everybody the way we are all right now, you know? No one. No one. I know. I know. And guess what? He's big right now. Yeah. No. And he's always been very delightful in his appearances on SNL. That's all I can speak to. I don't know his music very well, but he is a I cannot say that he is a bad performer. All right, we've uh we got to wrap it up. We got to go. True. Steve Trevol up after Danny's news on New Jersey won a 1.5.
