The American Gaming Association has named Geoff Freeman as its new president and CEO. He'll be the second president of the organization that was founded in 1995.

Freeman tells The Associated Press he'll work to determine if the industry find agreement about Internet gambling.

He leaves a job as chief operating officer of the U.S. Travel Association. Freeman replaces 73-year-old president Frank Fahrenkopf in July.

Freeman graduated from the University of California, Berkeley and worked for the conservative Heritage Foundation earlier in his career.

He will remain based out of Washington.
