The Record newspaper reports Uzi Rivlin remains in critical condition in a medically induced coma while doctors assess the magnitude of the stroke.

Rivlin's trial was due to start Monday in Hackensack. But the judge received a letter from Holy Name Hospital that the Teaneck rabbi was unable to walk or talk.

Rivlin was arrested in 2011 and accused of fondling the 13-year-olds who were staying at his home at different times during an exchange scholarship program.

Rivlin claimed he did not molest the boys and his lawyer said the boys were troubled students.

Rivlin is charged with child endangerment, aggravated sexual contact and criminal sexual contact.
