WASHINGTON (AP) -- Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe announced his retirement Friday as the Postal Service continued to amass billions of dollars in losses and battled with Congress over proposed cost-cutting moves, including ending Saturday delivery.
Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe said Thursday the Postal Service had no choice but to ask for an emergency rate hike given the agency's dire finances.
