The father of Timothy Piazza is recalling a conversation he was having with a Rutgers student about hazing on the very morning that, unbeknownst to him, his 19-year-old son lay dying on the basement floor of a Penn State frat house.
James and Evelyn Piazza have detailed the changes they want made on the campus where their son was injured at a fraternity house party and left to die overnight in February.
The timeline spelled out in a grand jury report revealed Timothy Piazza made attempts to stand as late as eight and a half hours after falling down a set of stairs, to try and get help when none of his fraternity brothers sought medical attention for him.
"The video tape evidence is the story of this crime. It's unbelievable to have a crime captured from beginning to end," District Attorney Stacy Parks Miller said.
