A small Somerset County borough has been the focus of some passionate animal rights advocates, over a federal method for geese "remediation."

Teterboro Airport has been under a federal contract to cull Canada Geese from the property. An animal rights group wants new methods to be used, that aren't deadly.

Jamira McDaniel, 23, of Paterson was arrested after shoplifting from the Teterboro Walmart and drop-kicking her baby daughter on Tuesday, police said.

A Fort Lee man, Tae Lee, is accused of striking a 75-year-old pedestrian on Route 46 in Teterboro and fleeing the scene before police arrived.

All three are already serving time on other offenses.

The business jet was landing at Teterboro Airport around 5 p.m.

The woman targeted in the Teterboro parking lot was described in one report as an 80-year-old grandmother, who tried to fight off her attackers.

Since December 60 stores have temporarily closed nationwide including five in New Jersey.

Fetije Lickollari was headed home from her job at Walmart when she crossed Route 46 way outside the crosswalk.

After running away the woman, who was not identified, was found by police at her home in Moonachie. Charges against the woman are pending.
