March 12th, 1981- Bow Wow Wow has no choice but to cancel the first several dates of their tour when the Greater London Council insisted that the band's young 15 year old singer, Annabella Lwin, would be charged with truancy.

September 19th, 1979 – The No Nukes concert is held at Madison Square Garden in NYC. Tom Petty, Stephen Stills, David Crosby, The Doobie Brothers, Jackson Brown, Carly Simon, Bruce Springsteen and James Taylor all perform.

March 15th, 1967 -  George Harrison records his first session for his new song ‘Within You Without You’ at Abbey Road. George played the swarmandal and tamboura on this track, and was the only one from the band to perform on this song, which at the time of recording was just called ‘Untitled’.

September 21st, 2011 - The Beatles refused to perform at a concert on August 31st, 1965 because the audience was forced to be segregated. A contract revealing that they refused to perform is sold today for $23,033 at an auction in L.A. In addition to the desegregation clause, the contract guaranteed the band $40,000 and at least 150 police officers to provide security at the show...

March 18th 1967 - The UK music magazine New Musical Express announced that former Spence Davis Group member Steve Winwood was planning to form a new group with Jim Capaldi, Chris Wood and Dave Mason.

March 4th 1967 - Stevie Winwood and his brother Muff Winwood announce that they will leave the Spencer Davis Group after a show on April 2. Stevie Winwood goes on to form Traffic.
