Prosecutors are using their discretion to drop charges a week after Roselle Park police arrested an armed security guard for carrying a licensed handgun.
A New Jersey man who works as a security guard for an armored car company is facing gun possession charges after being pulled over near his Union County home.
The two-judge panel ruled Calvin Carlstrom had not shown "justifiable need" to carry a gun, despite the Roselle Park police chief approving the application.
