While a $500 reward is still up for grabs for justice for Curly, the gerbil, the AHS/Popcorn Zoo says a hamster was also abandoned and is nowhere to be found.
The Associated Humane Societies and Popcorn Park is offering a reward leading to the arrest of the person who abandoned a gerbil in a filthy cage behind the Barnegat Motel.
"He was just always young at heart all the time. We were just very fortunate he shared his life with us," Popcorn Park Zoo director John Bergman said about the 20 year old tiger.
