Lets face it...our Jersey roads are in pretty bad shape...from torn up spots...to the dreaded, and ever-present, POT HOLES! That means that these orange cones are... ...seemingly... ...everywhere! And, every time I see them on one of my walks (especially one cone by itself)...

Check out this story about Salem County public workers. It looks like they're going to be adding removing roadkill from the roads to their list of job duties. According to NJ.com, Salem County Freeholder Deputy Director Ben Laury said Tuesday that the county will be eliminating an outside vendor contract for deer carcass removal, and the job will now be handled by the Salem County Public Works

The Tri-State Transportation Campaign is out with its study of New Jersey's most dangerous roads for pedestrians and for the fourth year in a row, Route 130 had the highest number of fatalities.

This sign in South Plainfield made me laugh. I would expect the sign to say "Speed Bump."  Speed Hump? Is that a part of Speed Dating? In actuality, a speed hump is a gentle speed bump! But...I digress.

I sat in three hours of traffic on the way today, an hour and a half of that on route one from South Brunswick down to Princeton and to say I was going bat crazy is an understatement.  Driving in New Jersey can be easy going and peaceful one moment and a nightmare the next, especially on days like this when it's raining...
