Agencies across the Garden State say an active winter in the storm department, along with plenty of freeze-and-thaw temperature changes, resulted in more potholes compared to what drivers may have seen during the last couple of winters.
City police claim the complications they anticipated before the law was signed in January are already being realized, just a couple months after the law was enacted.
The project has been running since June 2017, allowing cars to utilize the shoulder Monday through Friday between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m and from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
